We needed a little close-up action on this 3D flower😍 if you don’t like your cuticles excessively worked with then classic cuticle option for your structure gel manicure | builder gel manicure instead of a full out Russian manicure is your solution💖💖 also she’s going to St Martin, but how cute would this design be as a bridal nail look 😍😍
After we got finished with the design, we thought this would be such a cute bridal design 😍 I’m definitely a sucker for fun bridal nails, but she was going to Saint Martin I wanted simple nail art, that would match with everything🤍 a structured gel | builder gel manicure with classic cuticle work in Rochester, New York
Spring is here 💖🙏🏽 how cute is this nail art on gel x nails in Rochester ny

Can y’all actually believe that I hated this design for the first 24 hours 😅😅😅 ANYWAYSSss it’s Y2K nails forever 💖💖💖
Yeaaaaa😅 needless to say I don’t do spiders
Y2K nails that are actually Y2K💖 I get a lot of questions on my nails and they are Gel X. Lately I’ve been really wanting to do a curved acrylic nail on myself 😪😭 but I really just don’t have the time 😭😭 ANYWAYSSSSss all of my Y2K nail art is free styled, and of my own creation 💖
💅🏽 Things We’re Not Bringing Into This Season — Nail Tech Edition 💕
Growth looks good on us, and this season is about stepping into the next level of our nail careers with confidence, clarity, and boundaries that protect our peace. We’ve learned, grown, and made mistakes, but now it’s time to move with intention.
1️⃣ Overbooking & Undercharging
We know times are hard and the economy is unpredictable, but that doesn’t mean you should struggle. It’s okay to offer tiers for different budgets, but your work should never be given away. Nobody’s paying your bills or buying your supplies for free—your time, effort, and art deserve value.
2️⃣ Letting Clients Dictate Prices
Your art, your rate, your rules. I once had a client complain that I charged too much for nail art, but art is labor, time, and skill. Price your services based on experience, technique, and passion—not guilt or pressure.
3️⃣ Rushing Prep
Take your time. That’s where retention lives. Even after 17 years in this game, I still find new things that change my results. The moment you think you’ve mastered it all, you stop growing.
4️⃣ Thinking You’re Too Good to Learn
The nail industry evolves fast. Products change, chemistry changes, and new techniques drop every week. Staying curious and humble is what separates the pros from the rest.
5️⃣ Ignoring Boundaries
Boundaries keep you in love with what you do. Late clients, energy drainers, or services you hate doing—those moments will burn you out if you keep saying yes. Protect your peace; the right clients will respect it.
6️⃣ Comparing Styles
Every nail tech has their own flavor, and that’s the beauty of it. Just because your work doesn’t look like someone else’s doesn’t mean you’re less skilled. Find your lane, fall in love with it, and own it.
7️⃣ Neglecting Your Own Nails & Self-Care
You are your own walking billboard. When you look and feel good, your work radiates that same energy. Don’t forget—you deserve the same love and attention you give to others.
8️⃣ Making Excuses for Why You Can’t Level Up
You don’t need permission to evolve. You just need consistency, clarity, and belief. Every shift you make behind the table adds up to the version of you you’ve been building toward.
This next season is about alignment, not exhaustion. It’s about balance, not burnout. The glow-up is already happening—you just have to keep choosing it.
