Not all sunscreens are created equal!
Physical (mineral) sunscreen uses ingredients like zinc oxide and titanium dioxide to sit on the skin and reflect UV rays. It provides broad-spectrum protection immediately after application and is often less irritating for sensitive or acne-prone skin.
Chemical sunscreen works by absorbing UV rays and converting them into heat before they can damage the skin. While effective, some formulas can be irritating for sensitive skin and require time to become effective after application.
No matter which sunscreen you choose, daily SPF is non-negotiable. UV damage is the #1 cause of premature aging, including wrinkles, fine lines, sun spots, and loss of elasticity.
My recommendation? A zinc-based mineral SPF for daily wear whenever possible. Your future hot grandma self will thank you.👼🏼🩵
