I’ve had the privilege of doing this sweet lady’s hair for quite some time, and over the years, she has become so much more than a guest sitting in my chair.

Life has handed her some incredibly difficult seasons recently—health struggles, tremendous loss, and days that have required more strength than most people will ever see.

So having her back in my chair, getting to pamper her a little and seeing this beautiful smile meant more to me than I can put into words. ❤️

After more than 30 years behind the chair, I’ve learned that this career was never just about hair.

Yes, we color. We cut. We style. We help people feel beautiful. But somewhere in between the shampoo bowl and the styling chair, relationships are built. We hear about the celebrations and the heartbreaks. We laugh together. Sometimes we cry together. We pray for one another. And over the years, clients become people we genuinely love and care about.

There are days when someone comes through our doors needing beautiful hair…and there are days when they simply need a safe place to sit, be cared for, and feel a little more like themselves again.

That is the part of this profession I will never take for granted.

So thankful for this beautiful lady, her strength, her smile, and the time we got to spend together. 🙏❤️
