About me-

I moved from Manistee September, 2013- just in time for my son to start at his new school and I started a new job after working the same job for about 8 years. I went from working with the same 2-3 people in a small space to working in a large salon, without much flexibility. I decided to take a break from work so I could be flexible to my sons wants and needs. In that time I was cutting and coloring hair in my kitchen and decided it was time to convince my husband to build a salon in our home! I spent about a year working on plans, and in the fall of 2015 the salon was finished and I opened my doors! Since then my clientele has been built on word of mouth- almost always a friend of a friend! Now that my son is older and needs less of me, I am left with more time and am eager to grow my small business!

I have been a licensed cosmetologist since 2004; however I began working in a salon as a teenager, assisting with color and working on formal styles. After getting my license I worked in both a small salon and a corporate salon to gain experience. After about two years I found a salon I loved working with and stayed there until I moved. While in that salon I realized my favorite part of the job was getting to know people and made some lifelong friendships. (And color, I love color! ;)) My goal in this new space is to have fun and make everyone that walks through the door feel beautiful!
