New space is coming along beautifully! A few finishing touches to go.

Almost there. 🌿

I closed my office door at 3500 Northland for the final time on Friday.

After months of planning, building, finishing, landscaping and more late nights than I can count😅 the new office is finally wrapping up.

The initial construction was delayed nearly 3 weeks, building inspections added additional delays but we have been working nonstop to make up for the lost time.

There are still a few finishing touches to be done, my exterior sign should arrive next week, but we’re getting so close and I’ll see my first clients soon!

I can’t wait to welcome you into this new space I’ve poured so much love into and I hope it feels like a peaceful retreat the moment you walk through the door.

The building is still without AC, after being forced to cancel 2 days of clients last week with my office reaching over 83 degrees, today’s clients had to be moved also. I’ve been “assured” it will be functional by tomorrow.

This is truly unacceptable to me, letting my clients down is not something I take lightly.

On a positive note the new home for Rooted Massage is nearly complete, we have a lot of work to do to finish the inside of the structure but I’m hoping to be operational by August in the new space. No more loud disruptions, full control of climate for your comfort as well as my own, a truly elevated experience awaits!

Over the past several months, I’ve seen an increase in missed appointments and last-minute no-shows. While I understand that life happens and unexpected situations arise, each appointment time is reserved specifically for you and is often difficult, if not impossible, to fill on short notice.

As a small business owner, a no-show doesn’t just leave an empty spot in my schedule, it means lost income, lost opportunities to help another client in need, and time that can never be recovered. Unlike larger businesses, those missed appointments have a direct impact on my livelihood and the sustainability of the practice I’ve worked so hard to build.

Because of this, I will be aligning my business like most massage practices by requiring a credit card on file when booking appointments moving forward.

Please know that I will always approach genuine emergencies and unforeseen circumstances with understanding and compassion. This change is simply intended to help protect the time reserved for each client and ensure I can continue providing the care and attention you deserve.

I’m the owner of Rooted Massage & Wellness. Rockford is my home, we’ve raised our family here and as a 1998 RHS graduate, I’m truly rooted in Rockford (since 1989 💚).
