I'm an Esthetics student at Rockford Cosmetology and Spa Academy. LAST CHANCE

My major areas of interest are LED, chemical peels, waxing and working specifically on improving mature skin types!

With less than 10 hours left to clock until I complete my esthetics program, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that has interacted with my page, in any form 💕

I was very nervous to start my social media page, but I have gained a lot of confidence and insight for going forward thanks to all of you 😁

I'm super excited to move onto getting my license and continue sharing my growth as an esthetician! ✨️✨️

I found another one! Here's part of a demo of me walking my classmates through the steps of a back facial.

I really enjoyed doing demos for the new starts because I'm able to pass along the little tips and tricks that helped me that I didn't have in the beginning!

Throwback to when I did a demo for our new starts during their Microdermabrasion week!

It's one of my favorite services, meant for removing the top layer of dead skin to make room for newer, healthy skin cells to replace.

Leaves you feeling brighter, softer, smoother✨️

I have a slight obsession with LED treatments at the moment... here's why:

LED light therapy uses specific wavelengths of light with known therapeutic effects to target specific problems in one's skin.

It does require consistent use to reach dramatic results depending on your areas of concern, BUT it is a fast, non invasive way to create major change under the skins surface.

🔴- Increased collagen and elastin production, accelerated tissue repair, pore minimizing, improved skin texture/tone

🔵- Kills bacteria that causes inflammation and acne

🟢- Reduces melasma and other hyperpigmentation issues, soothing

🟣- Combination of red and blue lights; Targets acne causing bacteria while reducing inflammation, and appearance of acne scarring

🟡- Anti-inflammatory, boosts lymphatic flow, promotes anti-aging

This is one of many high frequency treatments we've done on our classmate, Kitty!

High-frequency treatments use Argon gas to generate oxygen when applied to the skin to kill acne causing bacteria on contact 🦠

It also increases blood circulation and cell renewal, which triggers collagen and elastin production.

Continuing to do HF treatments on her will lead to decreased breakouts and a decreased amount of acne during those breakouts.

I can't recommend these treatments enough due to how quick and easy they are, and the results are incredible when used on a regular schedule 👏

After years of only shaving, I finally convinced this client to give waxing their back a try! I love the night and day difference in these two pictures.

Waxing offers smoothness that LASTS

Why should you wax?

I did this service in about 5 minutes, she will not need to come back for another 4 weeks at least.

You could shave in 5 minutes too, but you'd be shaving a full underarm in 5 to 7 days for most people, not to mention the immediate stubble as well.

With waxing, results last weeks longer due to the hair shaft being removed by the root from the bulb, where it has to fully reform before being able to emerge from the skin again. With a regular waxing schedule, that hair can come back in softer and less dense over time.
