Mackey's Four Gray Roses

It has been a long time since I participated in the Soap Challenge Club, but I joined the February challenge. One of the things I love about the club is learning new techniques and finding new favorites. The February technique has definitely become a new favorite.

The challenge this month was to create designs on the face of your soap by dipping it into another soap. This was a blind challenge, so we couldn’t share anything about it online until the winners were announced (no, I didn’t win, but that’s okay, I had fun learning how to make dipped soaps). So, now that the winners were announced I’m excited to share my creation with you.

It has been so, so long since I have made soap. But that’s just what I did tonight. I’m happy with how the top looks and I can’t wait to see what it looks like cut!

Here is the cut of the soap I made this past weekend. I am happy with the blue side, disappointed with the pink side, and I am pretty meh about the center. I will try again this weekend and hope for better results.
