This is a hard post to write.

Yesterday, I packed up seven years of my business and officially closed my chapter at Level 10.

This wasn’t how or when I planned to leave. Over the last several weeks, circumstances surrounding the space I was renting changed significantly.
I tried to navigate them the best I could, but ultimately I had to make a difficult decision about what I was willing and able to continue working within.

At the same time, life has been asking a lot of me. Between my mom being in the hospital, the uncertainty surrounding my business, and trying so hard to figure out my next step, I realized I’ve been operating in survival mode for far too long.

So right now, I need a little space to breathe, regroup, and find my footing again.

I’ll be taking a short pause from appointments and reaching out personally to anyone who needs to be rescheduled. I do have a temporary space available to me when I’m ready to begin seeing clients again.

Admiration Spa isn’t going away. It’s an unexpected transition. I have to give myself permission to be a human for a minute before deciding what the next chapter looks like.

Thank you for continuing to trust me, support me, and follow this little business I’ve spent the last seven years building.

I just need a moment to breathe.

My mom and I have never had this kind of relationship.

We’ve loved each other, of course, but our connection has never really included this kind of touch, tenderness, or physical care. It’s just not something we’ve ever known how to do with one another.

But these last few weeks, I’ve had the privilege of caring for her in ways I never have before. Washing her hair. Massaging her legs and feet. Brushing her hair. Sitting beside her. Using my hands. The same hands I use every day to care for other people, to care for my mom when she needed it most.

And somewhere in the middle of all of that, I realized I was learning what touch could mean between us.

I wish the circumstances that brought us here were different, but I’m grateful for what this time has quietly given us.

Maybe this is the beginning of a new kind of connection between my mom and me.

I hope when we leave here, we take that part with us.

7 years. how to share what I have learned……

Today marks seven years in this industry, and somehow, this has become about so much more than skincare.

I’ve built a business, but within it, I’ve also built a place where I have grown myself.

I went from not fully understanding the power of touch to understanding how much something as simple as a hand on someone’s shoulder can bring to their nervous system. Encouraging stillness and reminding people what it feels like to simply be cared for.

This career has taught me about skin, but it has also taught me about people. About the nervous system. About healing. About slowing down. About listening. About the connection between what is happening internally and what we see externally.

And maybe most importantly, it has taught me that sometimes people don’t need another place telling them what needs to be fixed. Sometimes they just need a place where they can be.

That is what I want Admiration Spa to continue becoming.

A place rooted in ritual rather than beauty standards. A place where caring for yourself feels like coming home to yourself.

Seven years later, I still love this work deeply. I’m grateful for every person who has trusted my hands, supported this little dream, and allowed me to grow alongside them.

Here’s to seven years and everything still to come.

A mama taking a moment to be cared for, while still being everything her baby needs. Nourishing herself while nourishing the little life she created.

Motherhood asks so much of the body. The same body that deserves softness, care, and a moment to simply be held, too.

Happy August! The month of my birth. This season I take the time to reflect on making a full circle around the sun. ☀️
As I step into another decade, I want to say thank you to the community that has been built at Admiration Spa. My life would not have been as fulfilling without building this spa. Thank you

Summer is the Spas busiest season, please excuse the lack of internet posts and actions. 😊 I have been staying present in the moments, capturing little on screen but experiencing so much.
