Finally got a chance to get a photo! Come down and visit us at the Makers Market today until 3. It's a beautiful day on the water!

Sunday Strollers! We have two pieces joining the collection this month, since I missed July...
Leeward: a return from last year. Marine notes, mint, cedarwood and musk.
Treasure Island: new this year and inspired by N.C. Wyeth's cover painting for that novel! Fragrance notes are creamy coconut, sea salt, and amber, with hints of orange and tonka bean.

Please enjoy my chicken scratch. I'm prepping for the weekend! I have back to back events Saturday and Sunday. If you're local to midcoast Maine, you'll be able to find me at the Rockland Makers Market on Saturday and the Sunday Stroll (also in Rockland) on, well, Sunday!

If you're here from the group, hi! I'm Jenn and this is Chez Geek Soaps! Since I literally just had this idea, I still need some time to prep, but I'll post soaps here and in the group as soon as they're made!

I almost forgot! August's Hope Soap charity is (drum roll)... the Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care. Two years ago this month I was driving up to Augusta almost daily for radiation treatments for my breast cancer. Their staff are phenomenal people, and we can help those who are less fortunate with care and transportation.

Hey chics and geeks. Few things:
1) if you're in the Rockland area, there's a new soap at Makers Market on Main. You should go check it out. My friends closer to Harbor and Maine Artisans' locations will be seeing it soon.
2) I'll be selling next at BOTH the Makers Market and the Sunday Stroll on the 15th and 16th this month. Poseidon's Plunder items will be at the Sunday Stroll, and I'll have photos next week of what the new ones are after they've been cured and cut.

Meet Take a Hike, everyone! I took a chance on a new supplier for the fragrance, and boy am I glad I did: it smells the way the pines do after a few really sunny, warm days. There's notes of fir, cedar, musk, and it's overall just earthy but fresh. I can't wait to bring it to the co-ops and see how folks take to it, but in the meantime I'm obsessed!

Hey chics and geeks, I'm summoning the community! I have a soap that's underperforming at the co-ops I'm in, so I'd like to replace it with something new. My concept is a pine forward, woodsy soap that invokes the idea of a day in the Maine woods. In case you can't read my handwriting, the design ideas are: light green with dark green "squiggle" hanger pull in the middle of the bar, or dark green with more relaxed tan or brown "squiggle" hanger pull centered in bar.
Name ideas are:
Take a Hike
Trailblazer
Trailhead
Wanderer
