You would have been 25 yesterday; thank you for giving me the gift of motherhood for a brief moment. I’m sorry I wasn’t ready for you, I was so young and had so much to learn about life before bringing you into the world. This year, to honor your existence, I got my star baby tattoo. I know our story is not one that many people understand, but I will always hold you in my heart. I made the hardest choice of my life that day, if you know, you know.

Opening up my story only to find my ex has viewed it… totally triggered me and I promptly blocked them.

Such a beautiful place to call home…

2.5 years into recovery and I still stand by this. The bravest thing I ever did was to agree to get help and to remember how to live again. I am a survivor, everyday is a reminder that I am worthy of this gift called life. I am enough, even when I’m feeling unworthy or unlovable, I have always been enough.
