Highs & Lows Hair Studio is officially moving to the Space Coast! šŸ¤

After building this business and such an incredible clientele here in Fort Pierce, saying goodbye is definitely bittersweet. This studio has held so many transformations, conversations, laughs, milestones, and memories over the years, and I’m forever grateful for every person who has sat in my chair and helped make Highs & Lows what it is today. 🄹

But sometimes life opens a door you weren’t expecting, and I’m so excited to walk through this one. My husband was offered an amazing career opportunity that we simply couldn’t pass up, which means our little family is packing up and starting a brand-new chapter in the Rockledge area- and, of course, Highs & Lows is coming with me šŸ¤

My last day in Fort Pierce will be September 15th and then you can officially find me at my new private studio starting September 24th :

šŸ“BC Suites
566 Barton Blvd.
Rockledge, FL 32955
Suite #11

Same one-on-one experience.
Same low-maintenance color + gray blending.
Same me. šŸ¤
Just a brand-new home.

Fort Pierce, thank you for everything.
Space Coast… I can’t wait to meet you. šŸ„‚āœØ

She drove over an hour with one goal: make the line disappear and make me a silver fox 🩶

She was DONE with the awkward in-between-salt + pepper roots, previously colored ends, and a harsh line of demarcation separating the two.

She didn’t want to cover her gray anymore. She wanted to embrace it completely.

Instead of trying to disguise her natural silver, I transformed the remaining color on her lengths to mimic and complement what was already growing in ; creating a cohesive, dimensional silver from roots to ends.

No more waiting years for the old color to grow out.
No more obvious line separating her natural hair from her colored hair.

Just one very happy silver fox.🦊🩶

And the fact that she trusted me enough to drive over an hour to make it happen? 🄹 That will never be lost on me.

I figured it was probably time to reintroduce the woman behind the chair šŸ¤
If you’re new here, hi I’m Ali!
I’m the owner and stylist behind Highs & Lows Hair Studio, my little one-chair studio where I get to spend my days creating hair that feels beautiful now and still makes sense months from now.
Over the years, my work has evolved a lot. I’ve fallen completely in love with gray blending, dimensional color, and helping women move away from hair that feels like it owns their calendar.
But I think what I’m most proud of is the space I’ve created around the hair.
I never wanted my studio to feel rushed, intimidating or like you were just another appointment on the books. I wanted it to feel personal. A place where you can come in, exhale for a couple hours, talk my ear off or enjoy the quiet, and leave feeling a little more like yourself.
Somewhere along the way this ā€œlittle hair businessā€ became something much bigger to me than doing beautiful hair.
It became relationships.
It became women trusting me through some really vulnerable changes.
It became a career I’m genuinely proud to have built.
And after all these years behind the chair, I still get excited about learning something new, solving a challenging head of haircolor, and seeing that look on someone’s face when I turn the chair around.
So whether you’ve been sitting in my chair for years, you found me because you’re trying to figure out what the heck to do with your grays, craving a new dimensional color, or you just quietly follow along here…
I’m really glad you’re here šŸ¤

These kinds of transformations, while tedious and complex, are some of the most rewarding work I get to do behind the chair. šŸ¤
Because I think about what I’m really giving my clients back.
Their time.
Their confidence.
And the freedom to embrace their natural beauty instead of constantly feeling like they need to cover it.

Now, I won’t lie! the first appointment is a long one šŸ˜…. But we’re laying the foundation for something completely different.
Instead of chasing that harsh line of regrowth with permanent color every 3–4 weeks, she’ll now be able to go around 8 weeks between refresh appointments, with a much softer, more forgiving grow-out in between.

And THAT is what gray blending is really about.

It’s not just about making gray hair look beautiful the day you leave my chair. It’s about creating a color that works with your natural hair as it grows, rather than constantly fighting against it.

More time between appointments. Less maintenance. A softer grow-out. And a whole lot more freedom. šŸ¤

I’m going to be honest, I’m not the best at posting on socials, I know this lol
Sometimes I’ll go weeks without sharing anything because life gets busy. Between being a mom, a wife, running a small business, and throwing on my creative hat being the one behind the chair every day, it can all feel a little all-consuming.
But receiving this in the mail made me stop for a minute.
My first thought was, ā€œWait... are they sure they have the right person?ā€
Then I looked at my Fresha reports and saw 700+ five-star reviews, and it hit me that somewhere along the way, my ā€œlittleā€ business grew into something so much bigger than I ever imagined.
To say I’m grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it. The feeling is deeper than that. I’m genuinely overwhelmed by this recognition because I know it isn’t really about an award, it’s about the incredible women who have trusted me over the years.
When I opened my private studio, my goal was never to become a traditional salon. I simply wanted to create a space where women felt really heard, cared for, and could truly relax for a few hours. A place where we could laugh, vent, celebrate milestones, cry if we needed to, and leave feeling just a little more confident than when we walked in.
I never imagined it would grow into what it is today.
To every woman who has sat in my chair, left a review, referred a friend, or simply believed in me... thank you. Truly. Thank you a million times over.
Because of your support, I’ve been able to build a career I love while providing for my family doing what I’m passionate about. That is something I will never, ever take for granted.

Here’s to many more years of beautiful hair, genuine conversations, and making women feel like the very best version of themselves. šŸ¤

Moral of the story: just because it’s called a shampoo doesn’t mean it won’t stain your hair. šŸ˜…
This black shampoo was honestly harder to remove than some black box dyes I’ve worked with.
This is where experience and color knowledge really matter and knowing what to do next. As you can see, I didn’t just throw dark color back over everything to hide the warmth. I custom mixed three different demi-permanent shades to soften and neutralize the unwanted tones while still keeping some blendability for her grays.
Sometimes the best result isn’t lifting lighter, it’s making smart color choices that set you up for success moving forward.

This gray transformation šŸ˜ One of the biggest misconceptions about going gray is that the goal is always to get lighter.
In reality, the goal is often to get closer to your natural color and eliminate the harsh line of demarcation.
My client came to me exhausted from the cycle of permanent color, brassiness, and fighting her roots every few weeks. She was actually surprised to learn just how much darker her natural color is than she thought!
So instead of chasing lighter, we focused on creating a result that mimics her natural color pattern while modernizing the overall look. The result is a softer, more intentional grow-out that works WITH her gray instead of against it.
And because I know everyone is wondering about maintenance...
Gray blending isn’t a ā€œone and doneā€ service. Over time, toners fade and the hair can begin to expose warmth. I’ve already booked her in for a toner refresh around the 8-10 week mark to keep everything looking fresh, and she went home with the proper products, including a gray-toning shampoo and conditioner to help maintain her color between visits.
The truth is that the products you use at home make a huge difference in how long your investment lasts.

This guest had already been through multiple highlight sessions trying to achieve that ā€œblendedā€ look… but her grow-out still felt stripey and disconnected from her natural grey pattern. She was ready to FULLY embrace her gray!

If you’ve been feeling frustrated with your grow-out, visible lines, or traditional highlights not giving you the softness you want… this is exactly why grey blending and gray transformations exists.

There’s been a lot of new faces around here lately, so I wanted to reintroduce myself šŸ‘‹ I’m Ali.
Wife to a wonderful man, mom to the coolest (and very busy) 2-year-old, and this year marks 10 years behind the chair ✨

I specialize in dimensional, low-maintenance color + grey blending; hair that grows out softly, feels effortless, and actually works with your real life (not against it).
Highs & Lows Hair Studio was created with so much intention. I wanted a space that feels peaceful, welcoming, and a little like an escape, because I know how rare that kind of quiet time can be.

When I’m not behind the chair, I’m probably at the beach, the gym, with my family and friends, or making a Target/grocery run like it’s my second full-time job šŸ˜‚ but ya girl still likes to unwind with a solo date on a barstool with a nice meal and a cocktail every so often šŸø

I’m big on continued education and always learning so my clients get the best, most up-to-date techniques, never guesswork.
And honestly getting to help women feel like themselves again will never be something I take lightly šŸ¤

If you’re new here, I’m so glad you found me.
If you’ve been here, thank you for trusting me 🫶

Your blonde hair isn’t always the problem… the approach is ā˜€ļø
Blonde that lasts and stays bright comes down to:
✨ proper highlight placement
✨ subtle dimension
✨ the right tone
Not just ā€œmore highlightsā€ without a well thought out plan.
This is how you get that creamy, bright, expensive-looking blonde without the constant brass + maintenance.
