Not all lash lifts use the same chemistry. 👀

Most traditional lash lifts rely on thioglycolic acid (TGA) to break and reform disulfide bonds within the lash. Korean cysteamine systems use a different reducing agent and are often formulated with a gentler approach in mind.

Does that mean one is “good” and the other is “bad?” Absolutely not.

Both can create beautiful lifted lashes when performed correctly. The difference comes down to the chemistry, processing characteristics, lash condition, and choosing the right system for the client sitting in front of you.

As our industry evolves, understanding the science behind the products we use helps us make more informed decisions for our clients and their lash health.

I’m excited to announce I’m officially a part of the PLA Trainer PRO Network with and I truly could not be more honored!

I shafted off in the Trainer in Training program a year ago and have recently promoted into the Trainer Pro Network! I’m forcing myself to post this because I have been working towards this goal since I got accepted into the program, and I’m so proud of my progress as a trainer. 🥹

What started as a passion for lashes turned into a passion for education, mentorship, innovation, and helping artists feel confident in themselves and their careers. Being recognized and getting to work alongside a company I genuinely respect so deeply means the world to me.
