I can hardly believe that today marks 4 years since my ! 🥳 That also means it’s been 4 years of learning what products my hair likes, how often it needs to be trimmed, how well it absorbs and retains moisture, which styles last the longest, what ingredients to avoid… the list goes on and on!

My has taught me more about my hair than I ever could have imagined and I’m so so grateful 🙌🏽 If you were looking for a sign to big chop THIS IS IT! My only regret is not doing it sooner 😆

P.S. shrinkage is tryna play me but my hair is now about 4 inches longer than it was in 2016 🤩

My toxic trait is that I’m obsessed with cheese but I know very well that I’m lactose intolerant 🥴 Quesadillas, pizza, nachos, I want it allll 🤤🧀 The last slide describes me perfectly 😅

On another note this was a bomb using Rose Water Leave In Conditioner and Argan Oil Gel 🧡

Next month will be 4 years since my ! This picture is proof that back when I thought my hair wasn’t growing it was!! It was just breaking off faster than it could grow 😞 Ever since cutting it, my fro has continued to grow and retain length and I’m so proud of how far it’s come 🦁🎉

I went to a themed party where everyone dressed up as their favorite type of auntie/ uncle! Not to brag but I think I killed the “classy, bougie, chic” auntie 👛🎀💄 This flat twist out is the result of my last reel, go check it out if you missed it! 💖

I’ve been lovinggg the versatility of braidouts (and overalls!) recently 🤩 Even on days where some parts of my hair come out frizzy, it’s nothing a half up half down style can’t fix! 👏🏽

I don’t know who needs to hear this but… just because certain products work really well for some people doesn’t mean they’ll work for you!

On the left I was using a gel from a brand that I love and that other people got amazing results with! But I struggled to get any decent curl definition and my hair felt sticky 🤮

Fast forward to today and I’ve learned to ditch a product so quickly after realizing my hair doesn’t love it! Even from the same brand - I’ve found that some collections or specific products work super well and then others… 👎🏽

Here’s to learning to listen to my curls AND to ! 🥳
