“I knew something was wrong, but no one was listening.”
I hear some version of this in my office far too often. Women who have spent months—or years—looking for answers. Women who leave appointments wondering whether they’re overreacting because they’ve been told everything looks “normal.”
I was grateful to speak with Motherly about why women’s health concerns are still being minimized, the gaps in perimenopause care, and why postpartum symptoms deserve more than “that’s just having a baby.”
And now the article has been syndicated to Yahoo Health—bringing this conversation to even more women. 💙
I’m hopeful. We’re having conversations our mothers often couldn’t have. Women are speaking up, sharing their experiences, and asking for better care.
If you’ve ever left an appointment feeling unheard, you deserve a clinician who listens, asks questions, and helps you work toward answers.
Swipe through for my quotes—and share this with a woman who needs a little encouragement to speak up.

Well this is exciting! ❤️
I’m featured in Motherly talking about a subject that is VERY close to my heart: why so many women still feel dismissed or unheard in healthcare.
New Gallup + Pivotal data found that 51% of women report experiencing things like having their symptoms minimized, being misdiagnosed or not getting the answers they needed.
And honestly? I’m not surprised.
I meet women every week who have already seen multiple clinicians before they get to me. They know something has changed. They just haven’t been able to get someone to put the pieces together.
One thing I told Motherly that I want every woman to remember:
“If you feel dismissed, tell your provider, ‘I feel like you’re dismissing what I’m telling you.’ If you feel rushed or unheard, say that too.”
We advocate fiercely for our kids. We need to give ourselves permission to do the same thing for our own health.
And here’s the good news: I really do think things are changing.
Women are talking. We’re asking questions. We’re talking openly about perimenopause, menopause, libido, mental health, postpartum health and all of the things previous generations were often expected to quietly endure.
We’re not doing that anymore. ❤️
Thank you for letting me be part of this conversation.

“Estrogen causes cancer.” “HRT is dangerous.” “You just have to suffer through it.”
If you’ve heard any of these, you’re not alone — and you deserve the real story.
I recently sat down with Christa Biegler on The Less Stressed Life podcast to clear up some of the biggest myths around estradiol and hormone replacement therapy. Estrogen is one of the most misunderstood hormones in women’s health, and the fear around it keeps so many women from getting relief they’re entitled to.
Catch a clip from our conversation here, and get the full myth-busting breakdown on the blog — link in bio.
