Which brings me to….I launched a podcast today, and if you would’ve told me then that people would even want to hear what I had to say, I would’ve probably laughed but been excited thinking that was a possibility! 🥰

So thank you to everyone who tuned in, gave me feedback and shared to your page—my heart feels extra full 💖🫶🏻

We’re in the final countdown to podcast launch day (aka tomorrow)!! 🥳🥳🥳

It kinda feels like a “pinch me” moment because it’s something I’ve had on my manifestion list for almost 3 years now—which I share about in tomorrows intro episode 😎

This is probably my *most* intimate launch to date, where you will get a real life, unfiltered peek into my world and all that encompasses it!

I truly hope whoever finds the time to listen, whether tomorrow or down the road, that you find value, entertainment and comfort in listening along 💖

Enjoy and of course, send me some feedback and don’t hesitate to share the episode to your stories if you feel called to 🤗 (tag me so I can see)

Lastly, if you have topics you’d like me to chat about, drop them below 👇🏻 I’m open to suggestions!

CHEERS 🥂

2024 marks the beginning of my 4th year in business🏆

With this marker in place, I knew it was time to do some reflection and revisit my why.

But before I share my why, I wanted to give you a little background of who I am and how I got here.

The first thing you should know is, I’m a dreamer. Always have been and always will be. And with that dreamer mindset I’ve always had this inner knowing that I was destined for something great.

So while in school for esthetics, I chose to take on more than was required (and didn’t get anything extra in terms of grading or a boost) to ensure I could put myself in the playing field I wanted to be in.

Which meant, I was going to school, working as a waitress at night, and also job shadowing estheticians at a local med spa.

My sights were set on this job post graduation (becoming a medical esthetician) even though my teachers and peers told me it was HIGHLY unlikely to achieve right out of school.

Fast forward and what do you know, I was offered a PRN spot at the Med Spa I shadowed at and worked there for almost a year until everything changed in the blink of an eye.

My initial dream of being a boujee Med spa esthetician came to a screeching halt and I was faced with the question: settle or go big?

So I did some soul searching, leaned on my energetic practices that —at the time, I only utilized occasionally during my free time—and arrived at the conception of my business name “SKIN/CRAFT” while doing a bath meditation by .

I jumped out, soaking wet, wrapped myself in a towel, grabbed a pen and paper, sat at my dining table and starting writing facial names, concepts and pricing as fast as I could get them out of me.

My husband came in, with a confused look on his face, so I looked up and said “I’m starting a business and it will be called SKIN/CRAFT”

I wish I could say the rest is history, but this was really the beginning of a whole new life, way of being and version of me that was wanting to be birthed.

And while it has been challenging, it’s also been the most rewarding (more to share soon)

So I’d love to know, what is YOUR fave memory so far when it comes to SKIN/CRAFT? ⭐️

BECAUSE YA GIRL HAS HAD A YEAR 😅

For those of you who don’t know, at the top of this year (and this time last year) I was celebrating 3 successful years in business and decided it was time for some fresh energy, so I completely remodeled my business.

Fast forward 7 months and my husband and I were in another state, looking at houses and I was scoping out business locations.

In September we said goodbye to everything we knew: family, friends, clients and headed south to ARKANSAS 📍🚴🏻‍♀️

Since then we haven’t stopped moving—literally.

I set up my new business location.
Continue to unpack our home.
We’ve been traveling back and forth as we get rooted in our new location.
We’ve experienced familial loss.
Worked our butts off to get our jobs re-established.
And penciled in fun and rest when we could.

SO, I’m very much ready for some recalibration time as we close out this year so I can reflect, re-energize and get crystal clear on my path ahead. And of course, enjoy the holiday!

THANK YOU, to everyone who has loved and supported myself and my family thus far. We are so grateful 💖

Should you need anything while I’m away, please utilize my website. You can shop, educate yourself on my offerings, and even grab an appointment. (Link in bio)

See you in 2024! Have a wonderful holiday 🎄

XO,
Alex
