✨ Easter hit a little different this year.
In the same morning we celebrate Jesus rising… my mom went home to be with Him.
My last memory with her was lifting her up with my Dad after she fell that morning… telling her, “This is just a difficult season. I love you. This too shall pass.”
Kimani and I were heading to church and planned to open our Easter baskets when we got back…
But God had other plans.
He welcomed my momma home that Easter afternoon. 🤍
My mom always believed that if we could, we would pull the people we love out of pain…
But in doing that, we might miss the purpose God has through it.
And I know she was in pain—especially toward the end.
But I also know… God had a purpose through it.
Because if you knew my mom, you knew her heart.
She loved unconditionally.
She didn’t know a stranger.
And she made sure everyone had “a little Jesus” everywhere she went.
She lived her life pouring into others, loving people so deeply it pointed them back to Christ.
She always told us our words were powerful…
And when she said she loved us, she would make a circle with her hand and say it was infinite ♾️
And we knew… she meant it.
She reminded us that the time is now.
To love harder.
To get right with God.
To not wait.
I’m so thankful for the time I got with her—especially these last couple years living with my parents. A blessing I will cherish forever. Especially now understanding my purpose living at the house, with my Mom - To help and uplift and to be there when it mattered most and now without my Mom to help my Dad - To help and uplift and to be there when it matters most.
And now… I carry her legacy.
To love people unconditionally.
To live with purpose.
To lead others to a closer relationship with Christ.
To ensure everyone gets A little Jesus wherever I go
Mom… I love you infinitely ♾️
