They may look similar, but they are not the same treatment.

Professional dermaplaning is performed with a sterile, medical-grade surgical blade and specialized technique to safely remove dead skin cells and vellus hair (“peach fuzz”). The result? Instantly smoother, brighter skin with better product absorption and flawless makeup application.

At-home facial razors (often called “tinkle razors”) are designed primarily for hair removal. While they can remove peach fuzz, they don’t provide the same level of exfoliation and can increase the risk of irritation, nicks, or uneven results when used improperly.

The amount of product you use can make a bigger difference than you think. Using more doesn’t always mean better results!

✨ Cleanser: About a nickel-sized amount (or enough to create a light lather if it’s foaming).
✨ Cleansing Balm: About an almond-sized amount to effectively break down makeup, SPF, and oil.
✨ Eye Cream: A pea-sized amount total (split between both eyes).
✨ Moisturizer: About a nickel-sized amount for the face. You may need a little more if you’re including your neck.
✨ SPF: The “two-finger rule” (two full finger lengths) is a simple way to help apply approximately the recommended amount for your face and neck when using a sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher.

Remember: Product recommendations can vary depending on the formula and your skin’s needs, so always check the directions on your skincare products.
