I love change. I love when guests bring in pictures of new hairstyles they want to have. It's so exciting to see a happy face and a great new look. Exaggerated color peek a boos underneath . People take notice and are pleasantly surprised. It can be so beautiful. My personal favorite is very dark hair with gem colors like ruby or sapphire. Brown hair is great with rust colors. Any color flecks that you have in your eye color can be in your haircolor. If you have brown eyes and flecks of gold or rust, you can have them in your hair. If you have blue eyes and blonde hair and flecks of beige in your eyes, a darker cool beige blonde could be applied in lowlights.
So take a good look at your colors in your eyes. They are not just brown, blue, hazel or green. There are flecks of other colors and that helps hairstylists select the right color and of course your skin color is in the equation too. And yes gray is a color in eyes too. God covered everything!! Isn't nature beautiful 🌍

Good morning! I'm on my way to a Continuing Education class in Syracuse, New York for some haircutting and coloring.
I must love what I do because it's going to be ninety degrees and this is an all day thing. I went to a fundraiser yesterday followed by a trip to the beauty supply store to get supplies for my salon, and went to my salon to put things where they belong. Tuesdays I sometimes go in to work and tomorrow is one of those Tuesdays. I am working in the morning and I know I have other things I have scheduled afterwards. I can't remember so I need to check my calendar. I can't believe I'm missing all these beautiful days and it's going away in a couple more days. I'm not complaining, I'm just busy and that's a good thing !

Not only will the kids be going back to school, so will I. I have some classes coming up in September. I just love going for new ideas and meeting other hairdressers from other surrounding cities like Syracuse, Fayetteville, and other areas. They are so much fun to meet and many of them are young girls. (They have tattoos galore, I must be the oldest one because I don't have any tattoos LOL) We all have stories to share and lots of laughs. It never gets old, even after 42 years. But on a serious note, it's great to go learn something new, even if it's just one thing. It's all for the good.
I'm so blessed to be healthy and to be in the wonderful career of the beauty business.
