The other morning I was watching this deer feed in the tall grass. As I walked toward him he snuck by me in disguise.. .wearing nature's toupee .

A big thank to John Kay and his son at Rogue Roasters Coffee. These Guatemalan coffee beans are excellent and your son is a talented roaster!! This reminds me....I think it's just about time to get out the coffee pot at the shop! Check for that next week!

Sunday Gary and I attended the benefit car show at the Fairgrounds. They raised money for two great local causes. Search & Rescue and also to buy equipment for handicapped children. My dad is standing by a Model A like the one he had so long ago. Such much fun to reminiss with Gary. I am glad this is an annual event!!! Thank you!!!

Today I joined American Crew for a 2 hour cutting and beard sculpting class. I was fortunate to learn a few new things and gain some product knowledge. Watch out guys... .I'm definitely ordering the mustache wax!!!

Hello Everyone! My sitter is on vacation this week. My parents are helping me but I am on a reduced schedule. Thur-Fri Aug 11th-12th my hours are from 9 to noon. After that I will be back to normal. Thank you!

First off a big thank you to Abigail Hernandez not only a Texan but also a Jonny B representative.. She has been in the industry for more than 15 years and taught a great mid- fade and beard class today.. She introduced the product Code B now on order and soon to be at Gary's. This product provides a gentle directed yet non sticky hold. As a bonus it can also be used as a beard conditioner/softener too! This formula is made of 85% water, 15% h**p oil to soften and moisturize. My favorite part is that it contains biotin or vitamin B7 which I'm not saying has been studied long enough to have proven hair to grow but it is definitely nourishing. Deficiencies of B7 have been directly linked to hair loss. Even if your eating lots of salmon and nuts....rubbing a bit of this couldn't hurt! Hey, "Keep the hair growing!"

Today I attended this first ever virtual event by Cosmoprof. This day long seminar was given by industry leaders and professionals who helped educate me further on things like texture, density, porosity, and product knowledge on curly/textured hair. I'm so excited to bring this into the shop to share with all of you!!!
