Plum Grove Family Barber Shop
Barber Louis is happily retired! Plum Grove Family Barber Shop has been owned and operated by Lou Guagenti since 1989. He caters to children. Won't you join us?
It is a one chair barber shop and works mostly by appointment so that customers won't have to wait when they come for a haircut. It is always best to call at least a day ahead when making an appointment to get the best selection of haircut times. The mission statement of the shop is to give an outstanding haircut at a reasonable price and to treat every customer like family. Lou has a wide variety
How have you all been! Hope life has been good! Itโs been two years since I retired and I have loved every minute except I do miss seeing you all. Hope you are all healthy and well!

I enjoyed my first day of retirement with a celebration with my children, grandchildren and grand cats at my daughter and son-in-law, Rena and Danโs house. We had Mexican cuisine with optional costumes. Some dressed as taco chips, a jar of hot sauce, and traditional attire while I decided to rock the contemporary vaquero (cowboy) look. Donโt I look tremendous!? ๐๐๐ I particularly enjoyed the fake mustache because I canโt grow one๐ ๏ฟผMy kids gave me a beautiful Retirement Tree anchored in cement so that it will never move again ๐(thanks Mark and Lori!) loaded with symbolic ornaments and gifts! We then of course culminated the occasion with a classic Barber Pole Cake! Chocolate cake with peanut butter filling and banana cookies! I am so blessed!

My last day of service was indeed the most amazing and magical day. I was so touched by the love and good wishes that you all shared. It feels so good to retire on a good note. You all mean the world to me. Thank you for your support over these last 34 plus years and the friendships that will last long after this last day. โค๏ธ

After almost 40 years of barbering (34 of them at this location), I am thrilled to announce that I will be retiring! My last day of service is September 16, 2023, after which time the shop will close.
It has been an honor and a privilege to serve you all. I have enjoyed the conversations weโve shared and feel blessed by the close friendships Iโve made with so many of you these last 34 years.
I wish you all the best that life has in store. Thank you for your support and your friendship!
Love,

Thanks Chuck, Pat and Yang Man for making a difference by donating to the Lutheran Church Of The Cross Food Pantry!
The barbershop is a drop off site for non perishable, unexpired food items! Barber Lou collects all items and brings them to his church, Congregational United Church Of Christ. The church then sends them all to the pantry!
Keep it in mind next time you come for a haircut! Cash donations accepted as well! Your barber will do the shopping for you!
Thanks again for your generosity!โค๏ธ๐โค๏ธ๐
