Let’s focus on those roots that we are trying to ignore! In the midst of my decision making to postpone my trip or not, I had a client tell me she would cover up her roots, in the meantime. Of course, I panicked. All I could envision was her slopping her own drugstore concoction on her roots, a complete meltdown (hers and mine) over the brassy color that now shimmers at her root, and a lengthy color correction the next time we would meet. She told me the only thing she would be mixing was a cocktail (I just love my hair Fam)! She was talking about a temporary spray that washes out when you shampoo. Although I have not used this myself, I trust her judgement and looked up the reviews. I feel comfortable recommending Cover Gray Root Touch Up Spray from L’Oreal. Fortunately, places like Ulta, Target, and Walmart will deliver it to your doorstep, in the event that you are at risk and need to stay inside or are behaving...like I’m trying to. I’m not so sure I would attempt the blonde color or red. Blonde could be too yellow or orange, and per the reviews, this seemed to be the case for most. Blondies, my best recommendation is to stick to a light colored dry shampoo! Gingers, there are waaaaaaaaay too many versions of red for them to be able to nail it completely. For light reds, try the dry shampoo suggestion. For darker reds, maybe the brown option would work best, as fading has clearly taken place since the last time we met. For bright reds, this might actually be your solution. If you try any of these, I would love before and after pics, and your personal reviews.

I am going to try something that I haven’t before. I am making office hours for myself on my off weeks. This is a way to ensure that I am more efficient at responding to messages and managing my business. Often times, I become distracted by the other things on my plate and forget to respond to you, which I certainly do not intend to do. The time change also affects my efficiency. So here is what I am going to try and what I ask of you:
1. Office hours are as follows: Tuesday and Thursday 10am-12pm CST (8am-10am PDT). If I send you a message within this time frame, and you aren’t able to respond until after, I will likely get back to you the next scheduled office hour.
2. These hours do not apply when I am in California. I am less likely to respond to any messages while I am in town, but I will certainly do my best. However, 14-15 hours solid in the salon leaves me little or no time to respond (especially at reasonable hours).
3. Feel free to message me at any hour anytime. I will respond in the order that messages are received in my off hours, during office hours.
4. You are more likely to reach me via text, rather than by phone call, email, or Facebook messenger when I am in California. My number is (916) 207-2801
