It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that Rialto Barber Shop announces the passing of our beloved friend and long-time barber, Bob Aliano. For 67 years, Bob was not just a master of his craft, but a cherished part of our family, our Roslindale community and beyond. A true gentlemen who’s touched the lives of so many. We will all miss his laughter, his stories, and his presence in the shop more than words can say. Please keep his family in your thoughts. Services will be held at the P.E. Murray F.J. Higgins, George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home on Sunday February 22nd from 2-5pm.
Funeral mass held at St. Theresa of Avila on February 25th at 1pm.

As of Feb 12th, Bob is taking a leave of absence, until further notice. The shop opens daily at 12pm for haircuts. (Closed Sunday)

💈Schedule announcement at Rialto💈
Vicky is taking a winter break from February 1-17.
She will be back at the shop on February 18th.
Bob and Nick will be working their regular schedules while she is away.

Here’s a little history.. Directly across the street from Rialto Barber Shop in Roslindale, once stood Taft Tavern (current area of Adams Park) Constructed 1805.

The Tavern later became the Union Inn until the top part of it was destroyed by fire. Eventually it housed the school (leased 2 rooms) , and finally the Roslindale Brach Library in 1900. In 1919 it was torn down, and in its place is the Irving W. Adams Park in Roslindale Square.

Merry Christmas Rialto customers and friends 🎄

Today was the Christmas tree lighting in Roslindale Square. Many years ago, each tree in Adams Park were filled with lights for the Holidays. It’s very exciting to see this tradition return again. . .
