Being an Entrepreneur and Business Owner, especially, at this time has been a whirlwind of emotions. Starting my business in July 2018, I really didn't know how I was going to do it. It wasn't a life-long goal or anything. It was almost as if I was forced into it.

I was at a company that was financially fulfilling ... But everything else was not as lovely. I was the only American... Black Woman... Native English Speaker... And Educated Esthetician, at my location. I had to prove myself daily, and honestly, I don't think I ever made the cut. So, making the decision to leave wasn't difficult. Being confident in my decision to leave and start over from scratch was VERY SCARY.

Without any business education, I maxed out my credit card (btw it's still not paid off), used my savings, decided not to renew my contract with my previous job, and moved with family. At 31, this felt like a mid life crisis. SN: I had applied for jobs and got ZERO offers.

I have sacrificed relationships, vacations, and shopping to ensure that The Smooth Operator is a SUCCESSFUL, BLACK OWNED BUSINESS and OPERATION lol. I did not use my body to get me where I am (which I am very proud to say)! There are no partners, investors, sugar daddies, or rich parents.

The Smooth Operator is all Mine.

This Spa is my Baby.

Not to mention, I'm located in Roswell, GA ... Which isn't the most colorful side of town (if you get my drift) ... So Having this Opportunity and Influence is Dear to My Heart and I'm forever Grateful to GOD, The UNIVERSE, my SUPPORT, and my CLIENTS...
