Korey has been passionate about beauty since she was a teenager and began her career as a hair stylist in 2006 at Lucy Franco Salon in her native Monterrey, Mexico. She went on to specialize in hair extensions at Forever Young Salon, also in Monterrey, for two years before moving to the United States with her newlywed husband Josh in 2010. Not speaking the language or knowing how to drive a car did not stop her from going places with her career in Austin. She quickly picked up English and took her talents in a new direction when she enrolled in the lash extension program at Ann Webb Skin Clinic where she trained in classic lash extensions. Korey sees the eyes as the focal point of the face and the feature that offers the most dramatic opportunity for interpretation. After studying the shape and size of a client’s eyes, she will make a recommendation with regard to lash fullness, length and curl. Korey loves to cook traditional Mexican food and specializes in the enchilada and chiles rellenos dishes she learned in her mother’s kitchen when she was a girl . She also loves to dance—everything from Cumbia and Salsa to Huapangos, the native dance of her home state. But even more than cooking and dancing, Korey loves spending time with her husband and daughter Keira. I love this BEFORE and AFTER from a new client this week. My CC curls, with my PROFESSIONAL full set, are by far my favorite for a client with thinning and/or sparse natural lashes who is looking for a more natural look.
