One of my favorite things about modern nail art is that there are endless ways to customize a set. Crystals, chrome, hand painting, structured gel, texture, tiny details, bold details… there’s truly something for every personality and style.

Fashion is art. Nails are fashion. And every set gets to tell its own story.

Why is my nail tech constantly recommending nail oil to me?

I promise, we're not just trying to sell you a product (although we do retail my favorite oil brand if you're in the market). Nail techs recommend nail oil because your nails are made of layers of keratin, and those layers need moisture and flexibility to stay strong. When nails get too dry, they become brittle, peel, split, and crack more easily.

Nail oil helps by:

* Keeping the nail plate flexible so it bends instead of breaking
* Conditioning the surrounding skin and cuticles to prevent hangnails and irritation
* Helping enhancements like gel or structured manicures last longer because dry nails are more likely to lift
* Supporting healthy nail growth by protecting the new nail coming from the matrix
* Reducing peeling and delamination, especially for people who wash their hands a lot or use acetone frequently

Most nail oils contain jojoba oil because its molecular size is very close to your skin’s natural oils, so it can actually pe*****te the nail plate instead of just sitting on top.

A good comparison: dry nails are like dry hair. You can technically leave them alone, but they’ll be more fragile, rough, and prone to damage over time.

That’s why nail techs constantly say “use your oil” — it’s one of the simplest things clients can do to protect their manicure and improve natural nail health between appointments.
