Cold sores are painful and unsightly.
π
Unfortunately, Iβve had them ever since I was a teenager. In fact, itβs one of the things that led me to alternative health. But even still Iβm not grateful for them!
πΏ
Over the years Iβve found that herbs can really help.
π
This recipe is one Iβve used countless times!
πΏ
When you use it at the first sign it can shorten the duration of the outbreak.
π
If you use it on a developed cold sore it helps to heal and relieve the pain.

Calendula infused oil is my first choice for nourishing and healing your skin. I make at least a quart of the oil every year which I then use as a face oil or I use it to make a variety of creams and salves.
πΏ
Calendula offers so many gifts for your skin! It can address scars, heal sun damage and even prevent burns from radiation. As a mild lymphagogue itβs a wonderful breast massage oil.
πΌ
I love using calendula oil simply to keep my skin healthy and radiant!
πΏ
Truly, you couldnβt pay me to use store-bought oils and creams which are usually loaded with gross ingredients.
πΌ
You can easily make your own calendula infused oil, but there are a few tricks to getting it extra potent. Including how to get this gorgeous orange color.

Have you had a chance to listen to my podcast this week all about the gifts of chickw**d?
πΏ
Chickw**d is hands down my favorite plant for itchy situations. It also supports the skin and lymph and is also used for acute situations like pink eye and coughs.
πΏ
Whether you are already head over heels for chickw**d or are ready to redeem this special w**d, thereβs something for you in this latest podcast.
πΏ
Youβll also get my chickw**d salve recipe, which is my favorite salve for pesky bug bites and other random itchy skin conditions.
πΏ
Rub it over bug bites, hot rashes, clean wounds, diaper rashes, or any itchy skin conditions. The optional lavender essential oil is also wonderful for the same conditions, provides a nice scent, and mildly helps the salve to last longer.
