She has an INSANE amount of natural lashes, but wanted to keep her set very natural & flattering. Brown was definitely the move & this color match is literally flawless. 😜

For a long time, I was perfectly happy lashing every day and doing my thing, but eventually I started feeling like I needed more. I didn’t know what “more” was, I just knew there was this little void I couldn’t figure out how to fill.

Then I found out about this thing called thelashconference.

My lash artist and I bought tickets to go together, buut then she found out she was having a baby the same week, which meant I was going solo. 😅

I wanted to back out SO many times. I didn’t know a single person going, any “lash influencers” or really any brands besides PLA. (The first 2 pictures are from last year’s LashCon with Michelle & Erin from PLA, two of the only people I even knew of going in. 🥹)

But I knew I needed to go, so I went. Alone. 😅

It forced me to put myself out there, start conversations, sit at tables where I didn’t know anyone, ask questions & make myself uncomfortable. & somewhere along the way I realized I was not only doing it, but surviving. 🤣

1 year later, one of the biggest things I’ve learned is to just put yourself in the room. Going alone was the last thing I wanted to do, but looking back, it was exactly what I needed to become this version of myself, and because I did it, I found the “more” I’d been looking for.

Community. 🤍

I didn’t need more from lashing, I needed people around me who understood it, people I could learn from, look up to, support & be supported by, and now I get to call so many of them my friends. 🥹

Going to LashCon this year was SO fun because I couldn’t wait to reconnect with the friends I made last year, meet & connect with new faces, and even get to be a part of someone else’s first LashCon experience too. 🥹

These pictures felt full circle, but I have endless others I could’ve posted with people I’ve connected with over the last year.

I’m so grateful for LashCon for putting me in those rooms, & to be part of the PLA Powered Trainer community and for the education, support & friendships that have come within it. (The last 2 pictures are from this year with some of the trainers who were there. 💞)

Are we still telling every client to wait 24 hours to wash their lashes? 👀

That rule has been around forever, but adhesive technology and what we know about curing has changed a LOT.

Especially when we factor in bonders, adhesive enhancers, and the different adhesive systems we’re working with now. 🧪

The answer isn’t one size fits all. Know your adhesive, know how it cures, and give aftercare based on what you’re actually working with.

I actually wash some of my clients directly after their appointment to help remove any residual irritants around the eye area, especially for clients who tend to be more sensitive! 🧼

The point isn’t that everyone needs to start washing lashes immediately after an appointment. It’s that our aftercare should actually make sense for the adhesive and products we’re using, instead of just repeating the same 24 hour rule because that’s what we’ve always been told.

And most importantly, please… teach your clients to WASH THEIR LASHES. 🧼🤍

The right lashes can completely change the way your eyes are framed.😍

She wanted a more elongated, lifted appearance while also having the lashes camouflage some scarring on her eyelids. Mission accomplished, we’re both obsessed. ✅😍

I didn’t know exactly where the journey would take me, but I knew I wanted to keep saying yes to opportunities that challenged me, helped me grow, and made me a better artist.

Every chapter taught me something different.✨

Every appointment.
Every class.
Every certification.
Every student.
Every season.

Looking back, I’m grateful for every version of myself in these photos.

• The student who chose a new path before she knew exactly where it would lead.

• The artist who found the career she wanted to build.

• The beginner who learned something from every set.

• The master esthetician who worked her other job while slowly building a lash clientele.

• The instructor who turned her experience into education.

• The artist who learned that some lessons come from the environments you’re in. Those lessons shape the way you lead, teach, and show up for others.

Every experience became part of who I am today, not only as a lash artist, but as an educator.

One of my favorite parts of this career is knowing there’s always something new to learn, new ways to grow, and new opportunities to pour into others.✨

If you’re standing where one of these earlier versions of me once stood, keep going. You don’t have to have it all figured out today.
