I'm not condoning waiting this long between appointments by any means... But with that said, look at this retention!

This sweet momma came in and got her nails done and then days later went into labor! Because of my schedule and her adjusting to a new baby, this was a 2 month fill.
Guys, look at the retention! This here, is proof that with proper care and upkeep, your nails will last, and last good!
With that in mind, waiting so long between appointments can injure your natural nails! That is why regular 2-3 week appointments are so crucial.
When your nails are freshly done, the thickest point (the apex) sits right over the center of your nail bed to absorb shock. As your nails grow, that apex moves forward to the free edge. With the weight shifted to the tip, everyday tasks—tapping a keyboard, grabbing keys, opening a car door—put extreme leverage on your natural nail bed instead of distributing the pressure evenly.

So moral of the story, have the baby, but don't go 2 months without a nail fill!
