Joe’s journey into barbering is a huge part of why we’ve poured the last year into building Tailored Academy. 💈
With Utah’s new 130-hour Barber Permit Program, our focus has been simple: create the best education and resources we can for the students coming through it.
We don’t make the rules, we just follow them. Our job is to take the 130 hours we’re given and make every one of them count.
That’s why we’ve spent the last year developing a full curriculum, course material, exam prep, resources and real-world education designed specifically for this program.
Yes, we want our students prepared to pass their state exam; but we also want them learning things they can actually carry with them into their career behind the chair.
Joe has spent years in this industry, and that experience has played a huge role in how we’ve built this program and what we believe our students need to be successful.

Isaiah is a true gem and an absolute staple at Tailored. He’s been with us for 7 YEARS, and if there’s one thing about Isaiah, it’s that he’s been consistent since day one. Loyal, talented, hilarious, always down for a good time, and truly a whole vibe.
He gives blurry fades, keeps the energy right, and FUN FACT — he’s also a culinary grad! 👨🏽🍳💈 So basically, the man can cook behind the chair AND in front of the stove. 😂🔥You’ll also never find anyone who loves Ariana Grande more than him! 🎤 ✨
Seven years later, we’re incredibly blessed that Isaiah is still such a big part of our Tailored family. He brings the laughs, the energy, the talent, and the vibes, and Tailored is better because he’s part of it.

🎉 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR GUY, CEDRIC! 🎉
This one goes WAY back. Cedric has been Joe’s client since long before Joe was even licensed to cut hair. 😂 These two go all the way back to junior high—skipping class together and having both their mamas come pick them up from the principal’s office. 🤦♀️😂 And somehow, 20 years later, Cedric is still sitting in Joe’s chair.
Over the years, Cedric has become so much more than a client—he’s become a staple of Tailored and part of the family. 💈❤️
If you know Cedric, you know the energy he brings every time he walks through the doors. He’s always showing love, always supporting, and has been incredibly loyal and down for Tailored, Joe, and our entire family through it all.

Before he was a Master Barber at Tailored, before he graduated from Tailored Academy, he was one of Joe’s clients back when Tailored was just one barber, one chair, and a dream. He’s believed in what we’ve been building from the very beginning, and now he’s helping build it every single day.
