This year at Salty Salon, we are partnering with Youth Futures to bring some Christmas cheer to the youth of Utah. I thought I’d share with you a little about this incredible place.
On February 20, 2015, Youth Futures opened Utah’s first homeless youth shelter—a place where teens ages 12–17 can walk through the door and finally breathe, knowing they are welcome exactly as they are.

Here, youth who have faced unthinkable challenges find more than shelter.
They find meals, support, connection, and hope.
They find adults who see them, who listen, and who help them rebuild—whether that means reuniting with family or learning to stand on their own with confidence.

The team goes out into the community every week, meeting teens where they are—on the streets, in unsafe situations—offering food, essentials, and a reminder that they are not alone.

At Youth Futures, every young person is met with love, dignity, and the belief that their future can be brighter than their past. There will be more information on how you can help us make this Christmas special for these youth right here in our area coming soon! So please keep this on your list!
