Chemical exfoliants >>> Physical exfoliants 🤩
Chemical exfoliants can change your overall skin appearance, help with acne, and be anti-aging too! AHAs & BHAs work quickly compared to some other ingredients.
So what are AHAs? Alpha Hydroxy Acids exfoliate on the surface layer of the skin, which improves the skins hydration. It also reduces hyperpigmentation, fine lines & wrinkles. ✅
What are BHAs? Beta hydroxy acids exfoliate inside the pore, which prevents clogging. It clears dead skin cells to minimize breakouts. 🚫
Before you get too excited about chemical exfoliants talk to an esthetician to ensure you incorporate them correctly. Ensuring you don’t OVER exfoliate. Over exfoliation can lead to a compromised skin barrier 🔄 which can lead to more breakouts, and irritation.

Hello! Do you know your skin type? Knowing your skin type can help you pick the right products for your skin. If you need help, ask an esthetician! Here are some helpful tips determining 👉🏻
▫️Oily: Slick to the touch, shiny appearance, enlarged pores, prone to blackheads & breakouts.
▫️Dry: may lack vibrancy, flaky patches, & have a feeling tightness.
▫️Combination: oily in the T-Zone & dry in the cheeks.
▫️Sensitive: may react in redness or splotchiness to a variety of products, may be itchy or burning.
🔹Some people also may have “Normal skin” which consists of a balance between oily and dry, and has very few issues.
🔹“Acne prone” can also be considered a skin type; which is specifically prone to breakouts, either from hormones or incorrect skincare products.
