This barbershop was built on blood, sweat, and tears.

Four years ago, I never thought we would be named Best of the Best. It was always the goal, but back then it felt so far out of reach.

I came to this town when I was 18 years old with nothing but a cosmetology license and no real plan for what my future looked like. I had moved away to Memphis for a while, but when I came back, I still didn’t fully know what I was going to do with my life. The only thing I did know was this town needed more barbershops… A place where people could walk in and know without a doubt they were going to get a great haircut.

So I went back to school and got my barber license, because if I was going to do this, I wanted to do it the right way. I wanted to be able to proudly call it a barbershop and build something this town could trust.

That was the vision.

To now be standing here as Best Barber / Best Barbershop truly means more than I can put into words. I am beyond thankful for every single person who has supported us, sat in our chairs, and believed in what we are building at Next Level.

And I absolutely could not have done this without our amazing Next Level girls Destiny Garner, Shellee VW Romero, and Alex. I say it all the time, but I truly mean it… I’m so thankful for y’all and everything you bring to this shop.

This is just the beginning for us. Bigger and better things are coming from Next Level Barbershop, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes us.
