Connie's Hair Salon wants to thank each and every wonderful client that has been with us and sat in our chair for the 20 years in the hair business. Bridgette Lyons Beard, Connie McMichael's daughter has owned and operated the business for the last 12 years. As you all may know Bridgette recently in January 2020 she had her first child. Bridgette was coming back to work from maturity leave then in March 2020 the Covid-19 hit and due to Governor Northam's orders, we had to shut the salon doors temporarily. In those 2 months of shut down time, Bridgette had to make the very sad decision to sale the salon. Bridgette will no longer be at the salon in Rustburg. Bridgette and her husband made the other decision for her to stay home with their child, and only do hair as a hobby no longer full time from a small space in their home when she chooses to do hair.

With that being said, THE SALON IS NOT SHUTTING DOWN COMPLETELY! (That was put in all caps, so no one will miss that part)
The salon will still be in the back like it has been with the wheel chair Accessible entrance. The business will soon have a new name and owner. Amy Cobb owner of Furkidz Pet Boutique LLC, in Lynchburg will be the new owner and operator of the business. Amy's dog grooming business will be put in the front of the building, separate from the hair salon at some point. The hair salon/barber entrance will still be at the side entrance where it is wheelchair accessible. With all this being said please give Amy a warm wonderful welcome to the Rustburg community. I Bridgette Beard would like to say, I love all of you and thank you for 20 years in Rustburg. Hope all of you have a great and wonderful hair day!

The salon is closed until further notice due to this virus. The governor issued a mandatory shut down and we sadly have to do so. 💥Bridgette has finally had her baby (January 14th). She is on maternity leave until the end of February. She will announce when she is taking hair appointments in the next few weeks on her business page Bridgette-Hair Artistry. Please understand Bridgette need's her time to heal and be with her new born at this time. When she start's taking hair appointments she will only be working certain days and times that will work around the schedule of the baby. The 434-332-2000 number is to contact Bridgette, all our other ladies have their own numbers and ways to contact them directly at the salon. This is just a reminder for everyone.

To all my clients:

I am out on maternity leave at this time, and I have went over my due date. If I do not have my baby this weekend they will be inducing me Monday. This means I am still pregnant and I still do not know when I will be back to taking hair appointments unfortunately at this time 🥺. When I do come back into the salon I will only be in the salon 2 days a week for a while. I will work with clients as much as I can, but I will need everyone to bare with me and be understanding that I will be working around having a new born. I ask to please do not message me while I am out as I do not have messenger. Best and only way to contact me and for me to get back to everyone will be by calling ☎️ 434-332-2000. Bridgette will be offically on maternity leave starting December 20th. Bridgette is due to have her first child December 28th, that is not guaranteed the baby will make an apperance that day. Bridgette will keep everyone updated on her business page Hair By Bridgette Lyons Beard. Also clients are more than welcome to call ☎️434-332-2000 for updates on the voicemail while Bridgette is out. Please leave your name and number for her to call clients back at her earliest convience. She is planning on being out for 5 to 6 weeks once she has her baby.

💥✂️Christmas and my maternity leave is coming up next week.✂️💥

I am fully booked this week and I am not accepting anymore clients until I come back from maternity leave. I will keep everyone posted on when I am planning on coming back as of right now it is up in the air until I have our baby. Please understand and give me space during my maternity, I know a lot of you are feeling like your hair will be a mess but know I will fit you in once I am ready and able to come back. Going into 2020 I am still working by appointment only, to book all hair appointments everyone will need to call the salon phone to book with me.
