Of course, now we can’t get enough. A true testament to the old adage that “everything old is new again.” With a twist of course. 😉

This was one of those transformations that a million things were mixed together to make that perfect color and you pray that your notes of the process are on point for when she comes back. 😆
The energy in the salon this day was waaay up and to say this babe loved her new hair was an understatement. We have so much fun at Highlight & Shadow, especially when all of our clients & stylists are chatting together and in on the action collectively.

It’s summer. Shouldn’t you be going lighter? That’s the rule we’re all told. But, are there really rules when it comes to hair? I don’t subscribe to that theory.

This beauty’s hair was pretty to begin with, but with longevity between visits and healthy hair being the goal, sometimes added depth and a fresh cut is just what your hair doctor should order.

Reds are hard y’all! To get this rich yumminess + that reflection 4 different reds are blended together with 2 separate formulas.
I’m not gonna lie, every time I get a red project I get equally excited and nervous. The right formula is sooo essential to its success!

Based on the updated masking guidelines for California, though masking is still appreciated, we will no longer be requiring it for those guests that have been vaccinated.

Our stylists will continue wearing our masks and at this time we have to require that those who have NOT yet been vaccinated continue to wear a mask while in the salon.

Coming back hot AF after her maternity leave, Amanda will be spending a couple days a week in the salon with us. The rest of the time you may spot her zipping around town in her tricked out mobile salon heading to weddings and special events!

Amanda has been in the beauty biz for 15 years. She specializes in bridal hair and makeup, loves cutting curly hair & working with natural texture.

We’re excited for the energy she’ll bring to Highlight & Shadow and we can’t wait to meet all of Amanda’s clients!

Haven’t seen this babe since before covid ruined our good thing.
We kept up her color as best as possible by sending her home with some custom color kits during the shut downs, but it was definitely time for a chop.

Trust the process…I love seeing a perfectly foiled head, but sometimes the road to the desired result can look a little cray and as an artist 👩🏼‍🎨 that’s just how we like it!
