I can't believe we made it to today. April 29, 2025. Five and a half years since my modest opening I finally have my full sized barbershop. I can't wait for y'all to see what a labor of love it has been.

Please don't mind our dust. We still have some decorating and fun stuff to add so please bear with us as we continue to spruce the space up a bit.

I wanted to introduce you to our new Barber: Ritchie Stern! Ritchie has 7.5 years Barbering experience and will be a great addition to our team! His books are open and his first day in the shop is May 20th!

Greetings Friends!

I’m so excited to be writing this Newsletter and we have a ton to cover so let’s get to it.

FULL STEAM AHEAD! As many of you know, expanding the barbershop has been a goal of mine for some time now. You may also have surmised, from my cryptic key post on Instagram, that we have secured the lease to 931 T St., former home of Kicksville Records. It’s big and beautiful and we’re gonna fill it with so much love and Q***r energy that Sacramento won’t know what to do with us. We’re looking forward to being a part of an awesome neighborhood with tons of other small businesses like ours; Coconut on T, Plant Power, Milka, Fish Face, Betty, The Grid Laundry, and another q***r owned business right across the street, Ravens Corner Framing.

Also coming down the road is a small product expansion. I have been trying to find a selection of hair, beard and facial products to add to what we already offer that everyone will love, and the folks at BLIND BARBER have delivered. There’s a lovely Watermint Gin scented Rice Bran Facial cleanser coming your way, to help with hyperpigmentation and deep cleansing, a light moisturizer called Hydrobalm, which smells lovely and feels super light on the skin, as well as a styling creme and a new beard oil option. These products are amazing, and they smell incredible. We will also be moving to their shampoo and conditioner line for in-house services. And don’t worry, our other lines, Mr. Fine Aftershaves, Reuzel and Bona Fide will still be available.

Also available for sale, beginning this upcoming Tuesday, are our branded T-Shirts! All sizes (S-XXL) are available for $25, cash preferred. The shirt comes in black or white and has a wonderful and cheeky custom illustration on the back courtesy of Davey Krofta, a Chicago artist.

We have a few new Barbers joining us at our new location. Be on the lookout for
another newsletter in a couple weeks introducing the new team. Along with all of these new and exciting updates, you’re going to be seeing a new and updated website soon too. This is so much to organize, and we appreciate the patience during this shift.

Our final bullet point is this: The gift of growth comes at a cost. It is important to us to offer you quality services, while also staying competitive in an environment where service costs are soaring. Because of this, and to fully value all the barbers joining us on this endeavor, we will be raising the price of services. We are committed to offering top-notch service and creating a safe and welcoming environment for ALL people. These updates will only strengthen that committed and allow us to continue serving our community to the best of our abilities.

The new location opens on April 29th and the service menu will be priced as
follows:
Haircut: $40
Beard Trim: $27
Buzzcut: $23
Hot Shave: $50
Facial/ Scalp Massage: $45
Haircut w/ Beard trim: $60
Buzzcut w/ Beard trim: $45
Wash and Style add on $7

Noah's prices will level up to our current standard with the intent to have him at the above prices by the 1st of January 2026.

A new combo service will be added to the list. This will be called the "Full Package". It will include a Haircut, Beard Trim, Facial or Scalp Massage, and a wash and style. A 2 hour service for $110. As I am the only one currently providing Hot Towel Shaves, this will be an option in place of the Scalp Massage or Facial if booked with me (Domenic).

We’re so beyond grateful that we could go on this journey together and we couldn’t have done it without all of you. Thank you so much for your support. We love and value you.

Howdy Friends!

I know it has been a while since I last reached out, but I am just popping in to say hello and talk about a few new happenings at the shop!

First of all we are undergoing a few changes. You may have noticed the new name; Slowly we are rolling this out on all platforms. Before long you will start to notice new branding and some website reconstruction as well. This is all part of manifesting a BIG change in the not so far-off future!

Some more exciting news is Gift Cards! We have official physical gift cards for the shop. These are perfect for all those spring and summer events where you may need to stuff a last minute gift in a card. A friends Birthday? Get them a gift card for a scalp massage or a haircut and beard trim! The style is gorgeous featuring our signature orange and green!

And some more great news! Noah, no longer a fledgling barber, is increasing his prices. Beginning May 7, 2024 Noah's prices will be as follows:

Haircut~ $32
Beard Trim~ $22
Hair and Beard Combo~ $46

Both of us thank you for your continued support and we appreciate your willingness to grow with us! As always new client referrals will get you $5 off your next service. Also State Workers, Starbucks Partners, and Sac Gay Men's Chorus members will continue to receive a $3 discount on services. Summer '23 Updates!

Good Morning Friends! Happy Pride! Happy Summer! Just dropping a line to tell you about a few new changes and additions to the barbershop. We've got some exciting new products and a few minor changes to help move the shop forward.

The major update is the new product that will take the place of Bona Fide as our house standard. REUZEL is designed by a group of Netherland barbers called the Schoriem barbers. I love Reuzel. I have used them almost as long as I have used Bona Fide and I promise the same level of quality with this brand as with Bona Fide, however we now have MORE options for different holds and product finishes as well as beard balm and mustache wax and a heat protectant for use with a hair dryer. Also, because I feel the quality of two bona fide products is unsurpassed we will continue to order them. The ENDLESS SUMMER and TEXTURE SPRAY will remain on shelves.

Bona Fide and Mr. Fine Aftershaves have both have increased their MSRP. Bona Fide products will go from $15 to $17. Mr. Fine's Aftershaves will go from $20 to $24. These price increases are effective immediately.

This leads us into the hardest part of being a business owner: having to increase our own prices. You may have seen signs in the shop as well as an insta post. As we know the past couple of years have seen increases on everything and I loathe to join the ranks, however I do believe we offer a quality service that rivals our local competitors and it is time that our prices reflect that. New Prices will go into effect today June 20. Any appointment booked before today will still be honored at the old price point.
Here are the new prices for regular services:

Haircut-$35
Beard-$24
Buzz- $21
Haircut & Beard Trim -$50
Buzzcut & Beard Trim- $39
Barber Facial or Scalp Massage- $39
Hot Towel Shave- $45
Credit Card Charge $.95

I know the price increase seems like a big hike from where we were. To help mitigate that increase, all barbers going forward will offer a word of mouth incentive again. If you send someone to us and they mention you in their cut, we will give you $5 off your next service. We hope to help build Noah's clientele this way. Also for the remainder of June and all of July, Noah will offer Facials and Scalp Massages at the former price of $32, so if you want one of these relaxing services at a discount, book with him in June or July!
