Get to know your Miss Hmong California through the things she loves and the values she stands for.👑✨

My name is Teya NkaujSee Moua, and I am honored to serve as your Miss Hmong California 2026. I am a 22 year old Mental Health advocate and a third year student at California State University, Sacramento, where I am studying Business with a concentration in General Management. I also hold an Associate of Science degree in Business Administration.

Mental health advocacy is deeply personal to me. Through my platform and my work within the Hmong community, I strive to encourage open conversations about mental health and remind others that they are not alone in what they are going through. My goal is to help people feel seen, supported, and empowered to take care of their well being while overcoming the challenges they face in life. I am using my story to help inspire those individuals to feel more confident in sharing their stories as well.

I am someone who is very goal driven and determined. When I set my mind to something, I commit myself fully and work hard to make it happen. In the future, I hope to become an entrepreneur and open multiple businesses that reflect my many passions and interests.

Outside of my advocacy and studies, I enjoy spending time outdoors and connecting with nature. I love hiking, swimming, visiting the beach, and exploring scenic places like mountains and lakes. In my free time, I also enjoy singing, dancing, watching TV shows, and especially horror and mystery movies. I’m a big foodie who loves trying new foods and exploring different cuisines. My favorite dishes are: Khao p**n, Khao piak, and Sushi.

I’ve always had a deep love for animals, and spending time with them brings me a lot of happiness and peace. Being around animals has always been something that makes me feel grounded and joyful. I consider myself a big animal person, and I truly enjoy caring for and connecting with them. Some of my favorite animals are bunnies and horses, and I’ve always admired their beauty, gentleness, and spirit.

Lastly, I am also a very family oriented person. I truly cherish the time I spend with my family, whether we’re fishing, barbecuing, or simply being together. Being around them brings me so much happiness, and I feel incredibly grateful to have such loving and supportive people in my life. The moments I share with them are very special to me, and I deeply value the bond we have.

As Miss Hmong California, I hope to continue using my voice to uplift my community, inspire others to prioritize their mental health, and remind people that their stories and struggles matter.

“If I can help one person feel less alone, then I am living my life’s purpose.”
