THE ORIGINS OF YOGA
The origins of yoga are rooted in ancient Egypt. Join me for this fascinating talk this and practice led by dear friend, Founder, CEO and visionary of Afro Yoga, Angie Franklin
Saturday, August 21st
12:00 - 1:15 pm Pacific
Angie shares that, “Kemetic Yoga was developed through decades of research, study and translation of Ancient Egyptian (Kemetic) hieroglyphs and texts…. It's unique emphasis on spiritual rather than physical development sets it apart from Westernized styles of yoga and brings it back to the origins.
The goal of this practice is to move slow and intentionally, with heavy attention to the rhythm of breath, spinal alignment and sequencing.”
Angie will open with an inspiring talk before leading us into a beautiful, restorative practice for your nervous system. This is not one to miss!

You’ve read about the health benefits of meditation. Maybe you’ve even given it a shot once or twice, intending to find more peace and calm only to discover you can’t “clear your mind” which dominoes into more stress & irritation, resulting in your clenched fist shaking up at the sky, vowing: never again! 😂
A common misunderstanding that meditating = having zero thoughts has kept many of us westerners from finding the sweet spot. Annette explains that our mind is here to think. Getting to know yourself, examining what you’re thinking about without judgment, and developing tools like breath work to relax & quiet the mind, will help change your consciousness and resolve inner conflicts.
Join me with Annette Bailey this Saturday at 10 AM Pacific for Meditation II: The Power of Affirmation and Your Spiritual Growth. Cost is $20. DM to Zoom in!
