So, Leah was at Disneyland and Elastigirl told her that she loved her hair - all in pantomime! 👌🏽👆🏽👍🏽 I think that means I did something right.. 😂🥰

Not a level-3 brunette anymore! Sayaka now has the perfect birthday hair! High-lift color and some baby lights make her look like lighter and brighter for her special day. This was so much fun and I am so grateful I got to be the one to do it! 🥰

This cut and color was so much fun on Kiana. I loved her 90s inspired photos she brought in! Made me feel old, but I loved being creative with it. 😝 She rocks it so hard!

Is it just me or did it seem like January was 2020 squeezed into 31 days? 😅 Feels like the holidays were ages ago… So glad it's February. Time for some rest and recovery lol ⁠✨

wn the low-tox rabbit hole 🕳 about 6 or 7 years ago after I was suffering from severe allergic reactions to hair products at work. I started looking into what was actually in them. Very quickly, I realized it wasn't anything good. But it went beyond just chemicals at work. I started learning that our FDA has some of the LOWEST standards for beauty products around the world. In cosmetics alone, the EU has banned or restricted more than 1,300 chemicals while the US has outlawed or curbed just 11. ELEVEN! 🤬⁠

It’s not only possible but common to find formaldehyde, a known carcinogen in US hair-straightening treatments and nail polish. Parabens, linked to reproductive problems, are ruled out in the EU but not the US, lurking in our skin and hair products here.⁠

I found the app THINK DIRTY that allowed me to scan a product's barcode to find out how it measured on a toxicity scale from 1-10. I became OBSESSED. I scanned my whole house completely shocked to find how many household items were no good. taught me that artificial FRAGRANCES are super toxic. Which later, I learned from Dr. Karen Hurd that they cause hormone disruptors along with so many other toxic chemicals in our products. No bueno.⁠

I slowly started replacing one item at a time with cleaner, fragrance-free, low-tox products. I shop at places like and all while using my scanner. ⁠

Thankfully, there are SO many lox-tox and organic brands popping up daily. Healthier products are becoming more readily available and affordable. I believe the highest form of self-care is taking care of your body. Honoring it. Respecting it. So, why not learn more about what is going on it and in it? The more information we have, the better choices we make. 🥰⁠
