Happy New Year from 4th Avenue Aesthetics 🥂🍾

Each year I create a themed Christmas tree that really ends up reflecting a stand out moment in the lives of my children and our family. No two have ever been the same.

In case you hadn’t heard, Taylor Swift dominated 2023. Across the world and in our home. Though I did not see The Eras Tour, I found myself right alongside my daughter and her friends, making friendship bracelets, waiting on album and merch drops, obsessing over concert ensembles and…unearthing my own era. Reputation. A theme was born. I went in. Did the deep dive. The whole damn thing. As I do. If I was a casual listener before, I’m a bonafide Swiftie now.

I give you the Reputation Tree…spinning on a record. Because why not?! Each of the 15 tracks is represented. Let me know if you’d like to see the details! Because, if you know me…it’s always in the details.

Finished up at dusk, descended from my skybox and locked up the lift. The tree will be lifted into place by crane (in the center of the ice skating rink) on Wednesday.

The official tree light lighting ceremony will by held on December 1 at 7:30pm! Join us!

You had me at boom lift! Thank you Bobbi & crew for inviting me back to operate heavy machinery while decorating this 35 foot evergreen beauty for !

A look back at this antique settee that came as a collection, with two arm chairs and 6 dining chairs.

At first glance (swipe to see the before pics!) they looked to be in decent condition. A little cleanup, a quick flip, good to go. But as I started to peel back the layers, they told a completely different story. Countless hours of delicate reconstruction and revival from the damage of spray paint, latex paint, water and mold.

I repaired and reinforced the frame, cut new seats and opted for a heavily distressed look on the wood frame, to reveal the each of the iterations these pieces have once lived. I finished with clear wax to richen and protect the wood.

To compliment and contrast the distressed finish, I chose upholstery with an elegant gray damask pattern for the arm chair. On the bench, I used an ultra soft, velvety, coordinating solid. I love the way the peek-a-boo back panel turned out!

Had the opportunity to do a fun little transformation in this bathroom for the Grand Relocation & Reopening of in Folsom….a place and people that are near and dear to my heart….using on the walls and floor and for the the floor treatment!

Such a great way to update your space without the expense of a complete renovation.

Yes, it is November 3rd. And yes, Starbucks has definitely reminded us we have entered the holiday season. But for this couple, celebrating their October 31 nuptials, this intimate, at home, evening reception is giving all the hauntingly magical feels. Congrats to the Newlyweds!
