We spent hours driving around Sacramento, handing out hygiene bags to as many people as we could. Seeing the gratitude, kindness, and genuine smiles on their faces was a reminder that even the smallest act of kindness can mean everything to someone who is hurting, feeling hopeless, or forgotten.

The passion for giving began when I was 17, my aunt would take me to church charity events where hundreds of volunteers came together to pack and distribute bags filled with food, clothing, and everyday essentials. Watching complete strangers dedicate their time to helping others left a lasting impression on me.

Years later, in my 20s, I saw a friend and his girlfriend take off their own shoes and give them to people walking barefoot on the streets. People whose feet were swollen, injured, and infected. That moment stayed with me. Those experiences taught me to pay closer attention to the struggles people face every day and if you see a problem, you can choose to become part of the solution.

My family and I are incredibly grateful that we can give back to our community, spread compassion, and support others in meaningful ways throughout this lifetime we all share.

Today, I’m putting together 100 hygiene bags filled with everyday essentials for those experiencing homelessness. It’s my small way of helping someone feel a little more comfortable, a little cleaner, and reminding them that they are seen, valued, and cared for. 🤍
