While it is true that lash lifts are the low maintenance alternative to lash extensions as they require little upkeep and its lasts 6-8 weeks. But thing that’s not talked about enough is what’s required after the lash lift appointment.

Of course, it’s recommended to wait 24 hours after a lash lift before getting your lashes wet but an aftercare serum needs to be applied to the natural lashes.

Just like after any chemical hair service, it’s important to apply a conditioning treatment to nourish the hair. The same is true for lash lifts, the lashes must be nourished after the service.

I care about your natural eyelashes so I would never cut them. Unfortunately, some lash artists do cut the natural lashes during application, which can compromise the health of your lashes.

If you have experienced this, I encourage you to find a lash artist who has more education and training to ensure that the application process is safe and up to industry standards. It is not normal for a lash artist to cut the extensions or natural lashes during the process.
