about the end of a long day last night 💋

Thought I’d put this here as it reflects on the loss earlier this year of a former team mate

At his celebration of life, which was huge, they had passed out packets of seeds. So I planted them in spring in my garden. Sure enough, I had almost missed them, but while weeding, and I almost weeded them, they had grown and flowered.

Jeff you are greatly missed, thank you for the memories. This was a surprise reminder that you’ll always be with us.

While our landscape has changed, we have not.

12 years ago we took a big chance on rebranding from Lush Salon and Spa to Maverique Style House. It was a struggle, but not a choice we had.
With help from our amazing team and our amazing community we came out on top, bettering the Lush days.

Now 4 years cohabitating with our sister salons address

23 years today Michael and I opened Lush Salon and Spa. While we no longer get to celebrate at 2000 Eye Street we’ve appreciated everything and everyone that has been a part of our family. who knew???? who knew!!! damn we survived a f**k ton! 22 years ago year we opened our doors as first time business owners. sacto at the time wasn’t a thriving community. now the landscape is very different, almost like our first days. way back then…when no one would patronize midtown, or as we were labeled at the time lavender heights. we took a chance. put all our hearts into it. full help and support from my baby bro Forrest, both our moms, so much help to get our doors open just in time to chill for the holiday weekend. we’ve seen, shared, help foster so many careers that have come through these doors, some now even are their salon owners. i think almost all of sacto has assisted me, to their horror or delight. ❤️
thank you is not enough, from the 26 + years support from my very own special clients, but every client that supported us along the way. thank you will never be enough to the team that gave their time and loyalty to us over the years.

2 years now, cohabiting, blending, becoming one at baby sister salon we still have the same digits from 21 years ago 916-447- LUSH
so don’t forget us, because we don’t, didn’t forget you.
