Most people use way more products than they actually need.
One of my favorite things is showing guests how to get more out of the products they already own.
For example, a texture spray isn’t just for volume.
It can also:
✔ Add grip to freshly washed hair
✔ Help hold curls longer
✔ Create separation in short cuts
✔ Refresh second-day styles
✔ Give fine hair a fuller appearance
The key isn’t owning more products.
It’s understanding how to use them.
Sometimes one product can solve several different concerns.
Tell me what product sits under your bathroom sink collecting dust. 😆

Ever wonder why your hair looked amazing when you left the salon but feels different a week later?
It’s usually not your haircut.
And it’s usually not your color.
More often than not, it’s the products and techniques being used at home.
The right products help support the work we did in the salon by:
✨ Controlling humidity
✨ Extending blowouts
✨ Maintaining volume
✨ Protecting your color
✨ Keeping your style looking intentional
Think of your haircut and color as the foundation.
Your home care routine is what helps it stay looking its best between appointments.
Small changes at home often make a bigger difference than people realize.
What’s one thing you struggle with most at home—volume, frizz, styling, or keeping your color fresh?

One of the greatest compliments I can receive is when a longtime guest trusts me enough to send someone my way. 🤍
This new guest sat down in my chair, smiled, and said, “Go for it! Whatever you think.” She was ready for something fresh.
She already had a great haircut—just a bit grown out and heavy-we just wanted to tweak it to better show off her beautiful natural gray and bring out more texture.
We kept the overall shape familiar while adding soft, lived-in texture for movement and separation, leaving a little extra length through her fringe to keep it soft and wearable while giving the rest of the cut a bit more edge.
The best part? She can recreate the look at home with just a volumizing foam and a finishing clay to define all those piecey details.
Sometimes a fresh look doesn’t mean starting over. It’s about refining what you already have so it feels even more like you.
And to the guest who referred her…thank you. Your trust means more than you know.

One of the biggest misconceptions about gray hair?
That you either cover it completely or stop coloring altogether.
The reality is there are so many options in between.
As gray increases, many women begin noticing:
• A brighter part line
• More contrast around the face
• Color appointments feeling more frequent
• Solid color looking heavier than it once did
This is often when we begin exploring softer approaches like:
✨ Gray blending
✨ Added dimension
✨ Strategic placement
✨ Softer grow-out patterns
Every gray journey looks different.
The goal isn’t choosing what works for someone else.
It’s finding what works for your lifestyle, maintenance preferences, and how you want to feel when you look in the mirror.

Ever notice your blonde looks different by the end of summer?
You’re not imagining it.
Between sunshine, lake days, pools, and extra time outdoors, summer can leave blondes feeling:
• Brighter than intended
• Warmer than usual
• Drier through the ends
• Less dimensional
This is why I love midsummer maintenance appointments.
Sometimes all you need is:
✨ A gloss
✨ A few lowlights
✨ A hydrating treatment
✨ A quick shape-up
Small adjustments can keep your color looking expensive and intentional without committing to a full color service.
Hair maintenance doesn’t have to be all or nothing.

Does your hair feel “blah” every summer, even when your color still looks good?
Sometimes the issue isn’t your color at all.
Summer can expose challenges that were already there:
☀️ Heavy ends that feel bulky
☀️ Layers that have grown out
☀️ Lack of movement around the face
☀️ Hair that falls flat in humidity
A small haircut adjustment can often make a bigger impact than adding more highlights.
Removing weight, refining your shape, or updating face-framing can bring life back into your style without sacrificing length.
The goal isn’t always more color.
Sometimes it’s simply giving your haircut the attention it deserves.
When was the last time your haircut—not your color—got an update?

The hair you had 10 years ago isn’t the hair you have today.
And that’s completely normal.
For many of my longtime guests, we’ve shared years of appointments together. I’ve watched careers change, kids grow up, priorities shift—and hair changes right alongside it.
Maybe your texture has become coarser or softer.
Maybe your natural gray has increased.
Maybe the way your color grows out isn’t as seamless as it once was.
These are all signs that your hair may be asking for something different.
Sometimes that means adding more dimension instead of solid color.
Sometimes it means softening your formula.
Sometimes it means introducing gray blending or adjusting your placement to work with your natural pattern instead of constantly covering it.
The goal isn’t to keep doing the same service because “that’s what we’ve always done.”
The goal is to create hair that feels beautiful, current, and fits this season of your life.
I truly believe your color should evolve with you.
The best appointments often aren’t about making a dramatic change—they’re about making thoughtful edits that keep your hair looking effortless for years to come.

The Consultation Matters
Before I ever mix color, I ask a lot of questions.
Not because I’m trying to talk you into more services.
Because I want to understand what you actually want.
Do you want fewer appointments?
More gray coverage?
A softer grow-out?
More brightness without looking overdone?
The best hair plans start with listening.
The technique comes second.
That’s how we create hair that still feels right long after you leave the salon.

One of the conversations I find myself having more often in the salon is about maintenance.
Recently, a guest shared that she loved having her hair done, but didn’t love feeling tied to frequent appointments. Between work, family, travel, and everything else life brings, she wanted hair that felt beautiful without requiring constant upkeep.
So instead of creating a color that looked its best for only a few weeks, we designed a softer, more dimensional result that would grow out naturally and stay looking beautiful long after she left my chair.
By tapping in a tone that blends her few grays within her root and soft, strategically placed babylights where she naturally is lighter, we’ve mimicked how her likes to be.
Now she’s able to extend her appointments and enjoy a blended root until she’s ready for her refresh.
Because the best hair color isn’t always the brightest blonde or the richest brunette.
It’s the one that fits your lifestyle.
Hair should support your life—not create one more thing to keep up

You don’t always need a complete transformation to feel refreshed.
Sometimes it’s simply:
• adding a little softness around your face
• adjusting your tone for the season
• reshaping your haircut
• removing weight while keeping your length
• adding dimension that grows out beautifully
Those subtle updates often make the biggest difference.
Hair should evolve with you—not feel like an all-or-nothing decision.
My goal is always to create something that feels current while still feeling like you.
