Bringing hair back to health brings me so much joy!

I joked and said "raising" healthy hair brings me joy like raising a child. 🤣

This beauty came to me with a lot of broken and damaged hair from a previous highlighting. She followed all of my advice and 4 months later we have healthy, shiny, AND blonde hair. 👏👏👏

Color was done with - a demi-permanent color.

Sorry if there have been any delays in reaching me! It seems my phone has been acting up since Saturday. If you call, please leave a voicemail-I seem to be able to receive those. ❤️ I'm working on fixing it and will delete it when it's resolved.

This was a big change! When going through a change like this it is important to understand how hair color works and the proper formulation. 🚪*enters me* 😎

Blonde➡️Brown isn't necessarily as simple as it may seem. I just taught this to my class last week, the importance of 🅵🅸🅻🅻🅸🅽🅶.

Putting dark color on top of blonde (without filling) will leave the end result hallow, uneven, and dull. You may even notice a tinge of green or ash on the porous ends. Have you seen what I'm talking about?

By filling we are putting all the missing pigments back into the hair, leaving this natural-looking, rich brown. *Bonus-the color lasts longer too!

One thing that I love doing is educating. Whether it be behind the chair or in a classroom! You can never ask me too many questions!

I'm having a hard time writing this today. However, I have waited long enough to share this news...

Thrive Beauty Lounge will welcome it's last guest, in Elburn, on July 14th, 2022.

It is bittersweet news because of the 'why', which is that we are moving to St Augustine, Florida.

My husband and I wanted to move to Florida for the past 7 years. My parents told me I even asked to move there, as a child. 😆

However, leaving all of my amazing clients is very hard. I have known some of you since I was 19 (I'm 32 now). We have been through it all together! We helped each other celebrate all the great times and helped each other through the bad.

When you sat in my chair it was never "all about the hair". The relationship we built means more to me than you may ever know. I like to think you have become an extension of my family, which is why I loved working out of my home. It wasn't "just business," it was personal. I gave you my authentic self, and you gave it right back!

I don't know what the next phase will be for Thrive Beauty Lounge. I'm not sure where my career will take me next. I do know that I won't waste this unique time as an opportunity to grow and learn. It isn't every day that you start fresh in your career, in a new state. 🤪

I want to thank you for all the support you gave me. One of the biggest compliments in my industry is referrals, and boy did you deliver! ❤ I'm especially thankful for the tremendous support in 2020, during the shutdown.

I will greatly miss our conversations and seeing you in person. I'm going to miss hearing about the details of your lives and, of course, making you look your best!

I am here whenever you want to chat. You can text me anytime you want. I really mean this, I'm not just saying that. Hopefully you know that anyways!

Finally, I will share my color formula with those of you who received services. This will set you up for success with your next stylist. 💕

I added some accent highlights to brighten up this color 🌞 and a root touch-up for grey coverage and blending. So, here's to me hoping it will brighten your day.*

It has been a while since I've said hi. 👋
Spring break happened, Easter, and a whole new school schedule for my daughter. Needless to say, it has been a busy couple of weeks!

This client came in for a short break from college during break. Thought I would show off her transformation!

She wanted to have more cool tones in her hair and to over all be lighter and brighter! ✅✔

I think I accomplished that. 😉

She is going to use her Pureology Strength Cure to keep up the healthy hair and make sure it stays strong! 💪

Now all we need is more of that sunshine that we had all week! 🌞
