Lately, I’ve been wanting to make more room for this:

Doing the things I love, with people I adore. 🤍

Yesterday, my sweet friend Achara and I spent the day at Flagler Beach Farm House, gathered around a table cooking, laughing, learning, and making Cambodian summer rolls.

Although apparently I misunderstood the assignment because my “summer roll” came out the size of a BURRITO. 😂🌯
Go big or go home, I guess.

Theary also shared her secret chili oil with us, and when I tell you it was GOOD… it was so good that there was absolutely no way I was leaving without a jar to take home. 😂🌶️

But somewhere between the chopping, rolling, dipping everything in chili oil, eating, and laughing, Theary shared the story behind what she is creating—preserving her mother’s recipes by teaching them, cooking them, and sharing them with others.

And I thought that was so beautiful.

Food can be so much more than food.

It can be memory.
It can be culture.
It can be a mother’s hands.
It can be a story that stays alive because someone cared enough to keep telling it.

And maybe this is part of wellness, too.

Creating with our hands. Learning something new. Gathering around a table. Laughing until our cheeks hurt. Eating food made with love. Spending time with people we adore.

I want to make more room in my life—and here at The Ceremony Room—for this kind of living.
