13 plus years as a hairdresser.
1.5 years on my own
First month in my career feeling confident enough to wear shorts.
I wish I could say that’s because I had body image issues and not salon trauma issues. For years my appearance in this industry has been micro managed and for the first time in my career I’m truly in control and finding me. She’s a cool babe I’ll tell you what and we’ve worked so hard to become her. If you’re a baby stylist and you feel self conscious in your salon environment, babe it’s not the right home for you. 💕

Prom Season ✨

This was a special one I had 3 of my regulars old enough for prom and as a seasoned stylist I’ve learned they aren’t all the same. Some years I only do 1 style other years it’s a day of celebrating special ladies. This year was a celebration and I’ll cherish it.

If I had to pick one part of hairdressing that’s my favorite it’s this, building relationships with people. Watching them meet the love of their life, get married, have babies, cut those babies hair and watch them grow. I have clients that I’ve cut since they were toddlers and now they’re in college. Others are now married themselves and I got the honor of doing their prom hair and their wedding hair. That privilege is unmatched. Being a part of your life and watching it unfold is the part that fills my cup the most. Thank you for the joy you bring. ❤️

Probably one of the hardest years in my personal life but man was my work life thriving. It was all about fun cuts, lived in color was just entering the chat, white blonde was the preferred tone. I was lucky enough to win a competition for a cutting class in NYC and I remember thinking it was the coolest thing ever. I was still a fresh stylist finding her groove but it was a time.

Hello lovely people! I figured I hadn’t introduced myself in a while so why not at the beginning of the year. I’m Bekah the face behind b.blonding. I’ve been a hairdresser for 13 years and I’ve been so lucky to find my passion and follow it. I’ve been so blessed by some amazing clients who have followed me all over St. Augustine. My passion behind the chair is focused on blonding, dimensional color and vivids. I also have years of training in cutting and styling. I’ve done bridal and event styling for years as well. I am currently accepting new clients as I am behind the chair full time again!

When I’m not in the salon you will definitely find me with my son getting up to something. We purchased our first house last year and have been setting down roots. I love plants so having a yard has meant all the plants! I love to read, listen to music and binge watching a good tv show.

I’ve spent years chasing my tail in this industry trying to be the best version of myself and I’m so thankful to say I’ve found a peace and pace that works for me and my clientele.
