Comment the word ‘NECK’ on this video if you need help fixing neck problems and I’ll help you out! Do you experience achiness from your neck down to your arm, maybe it feels cold, numb or even weak? This could be a sign of thoracic outlet syndrome as described in this video. When there is compression of the nerves, arteries or veins that exit the neck and go down to the arm, you can experience any of the above symptoms. There are multiple places down the chain that this compression can occur in this video I show you 4 of most common structures that can cause it. 🥊 1.) 1st Rib Elevation 🥊 2.) Scalene Spasms 🥊 3.) Pectoral Tightness 🥊 4.) Nerve Restrictions The best way to go about fixing this is by addressing each of these four common areas one by one and see which relieves your symptoms most. If so, you’ve identified the culprit and now you need to work that area until you experience relief. I would recommend working all four areas in any event. Comment the word ‘Headaches’ on this post if you need help getting rid of them, and I’ll help you out! Do you experience shoulder blade pain that just won’t go away? You’ve tried stretching it, massaging it and fixing your posture but it keeps coming back? Plus you get headaches and it seems like it’s all connected? (Well you’re probably right!) You see when we have improper shoulder blade function, the muscles that connect it to the spine have to overwork and those muscles tug on the neck which can cause headaches! PLUS, if your upper back and rib head joint are stiff… then the muscles (rhomboids, levant scapulae and upper trapezius have to work even more). SO to fix the situation we have to: 1.) Release the muscles to put them in a more healthy state. 2.) Mobilize the upper spine and rib head joints 3.) Retrain the serrates anterior to properly move the shoulder blade so we don’t have any further compensations by the headache causing muscles! I fine it so incredibly common that when your neck and shoulders do not function properly, they are secretly causing your headaches!
