We just had to share!

Time for a couple quick updates going on behind the scene with Fox and Stone Barbers. First and foremost, we want to thank you for your continued support and encouragement as our business grows. As our former barber Lauren left for a new adventure we were blessed with the continued support of her clients and for that we are grateful. But due to our very welcomed problem, our clientele has been pushed to the max and we are left trying to deliver the best customer service and the best barbering services to each individual client.

With that, a few changes have to be made. We tried booking further out but have found this to only exasperate our booking issues and left many scrambling with either cancelations or multiple obligations. In efforts to subside this issue we have decided to change our online booking reservations to 30 days rather than 60 days, while still allowing clients to book in person at time of service. We encourage you to book your next appointment for the following month with your barber before leaving, thus leaving the online availability to either new clients or people who have shifting schedules.

We figure after one months time everything will catch up with our current bookings and this problem will resolve itself. We also assume many people (including us) have last minute summer plans that come up and this allows everyone more freedom to enjoy these plans without having to cancel or rebook existing appointments. As always, we are here for you, and we are more than happy to book further out for special events as they arise.

One other small change, we ask that you provide your physical credit card at time of payment or to pay in cash, as Square has upped their service charges for credit card payments for cards on file and we are trying to avoid even larger fees.

Lastly, some of you may have heard we are actively searching for a new location. While we have not yet found our new home, we ask that you bare with us as we try to expand our business. We look forward to training new barbers, expanding our great services, and providing the best barbering experience the Fox Valley area has to offer.

FYI: We will start posting our schedules 30 days running rather than the previous 60 days.

In effort to avoid issues finding a haircut and constantly playing catch up, we hope this shift will make it easier to plan your haircuts and avoid cancelations (especially heading into summer when fun events constantly pop up).

As always, you can book out further with your barber at your scheduled appointment, but our online services will only be offered 30 days in advance.

Bare with us as we try to get everyone in as needed. We appreciate every client and want to give you the best possible service. Please reach out for any scheduling needs that come up.

With the holiday season upon us, it is also flu season. We kindly ask, if you or the members of your household are sick, PLEASE CANCEL your haircut. We will absolutely do our best to get you in as soon as you are healthy and we have an available spot.

Joe and Jackie do their best to keep a wait list running. If you need to cancel, you will be added to the waitlist.

Remember: it's just a haircut. Nobody needs to spread the flu in the name of looking fabulous.

Important News!

Hey Folks,

Time for another couple important announcements and we will try to make this brief. First and foremost, as some of you have heard Lauren will be setting off on an adventure with her husband and the puppers to the great state of Washington. October 20th will be her last date in the shop so be sure to book your appointments with her as quickly as possible as she will probably fill up very quickly (our books are open for her until that point already!). Lauren has been the perfect addition to Fox and Stone and will be greatly missed. We wish are all the best on this new adventure and look forward to seeing where her journey takes her.

With that, there will sadly be a lot of great clients without a barber. While Jackie and Joey would love to take those clients, their books are nearly full, and will be unable to accommodate everyone that she has taken care of in the shop. With that being said we expect their schedules to be pushed out even further than usual so we would highly recommend Kate from our old stomping grounds at Beardsgaard Barbers in Batavia. We have good taste in barbers, so her books are also busy, but we feel she has a very similar cutting style and personality as Lauren. We have discussed bringing in another barber to fill the role, but we have not had the time to search out someone at this time, but rest assured, we will be on the hunt for another great fit for our shop as well as potentially finding a permanent home to accommodate as many folks as we can!

This brings us to the last bit of unfortunate news, with the departure of Lauren and rising costs for day-to-day life in the shop we will be implementing a small price increase. We understand the struggles that everybody has been going through, as we are basically therapists without the degree at this point, and while it was a difficult decision, it is a necessity for us nonetheless. We will not be price gouging or anything like that, but we find a couple of extra dollars per service can really go a long way for us personally, as well as help the shop expand into what we hope can be a forever home. Standard haircuts will begin at $35, add-on beard services will now be an additional $15, and our skin fade/bald razor fades will be an additional $10. If you are curious about any other price increases for your particular service not listed, feel free to reach out to us or wait until October 1st and check the website as everything will be updated that day. Our usual discounts will still apply for referrals, multiple appointments at once, military, police/fire/paramedics, and teachers. This price increase will take place on appointments booked after October 1st, which means if you are able to book ahead, you will still get our current pricing.

Lastly, some of you may know that Jackie will be taking a trip out to Ireland here in the next few weeks so her schedule is already fully booked until October! To compensate for those who are not able to get in with Jackie; Joey and Laurens's books will be slightly expanded to accommodate as many clients as we can get in during this time, so book now while there is availability!
