Hi, my name is Melanie, but most people call me Mel. I have a passion in connection with people and making people feel good about themselves. I decided to peruse a career in cosmetology after my own wedding. I wanted to make an impact on peoples “special day”. I graduated from Pivot Point in 2011. While in Cosmetology school, I competed in a bridal hairstyle competition in Florida representing Piv

Today we made a meaningful change by donating 6 inches of hair and creating this beautiful bob.
I love transformations like this because they’re about more than just the haircut. A fresh style, a little extra confidence, and the opportunity to help someone else all in one appointment.

My guest wanted to add brightness and movement while keeping her rich brunette base. We focused on soft, dimensional ribbons throughout the hair for a seamless, low-maintenance result that grows out beautifully.
To finish the look, we refreshed her ends with a healthy trim for added movement, shine, and a polished finish. 🤎
One of my favorite things about this transformation is that the dimension looks beautiful both curled and straight.

There’s something so special about this one 💛
Not only does she rock the sweetest pixie cut with so much grace and confidence — she’s also one of my favorite clients-turned-friends. I’ve loved getting to know her over the years, and I’m so grateful for the light she brings into my chair every time she visits.

After being out for 6 months due to health reasons, I’m finally back at One Salon and Bridal Company—and I couldn’t be happier! 💖
I’ve missed the creativity, the laughter, the connections, and most of all—you. Getting to work with my amazing clients and beautiful brides truly fills my heart. 💍
This past month has already reminded me why I love what I do, and I’m so excited for everything this year has in store.

I decided to peruse a career in cosmetology after my own wedding. I wanted to make an impact on peoples “special day”.
Throughout my career I have also found a passion in men’s cuts and I am passionate about making sure that each client receives an experience specific to their needs.
I am happily married and have to my two beautiful children.
I am also very involved in Special Olympics as one of my sons is a State Champion and brought home a gold medal at state for Special Olympics track.
