TW: Miscarriage

Last month was tough. For the past 6 months, all we’ve wanted is a baby. I found out we were pregnant March 16 after months of trying. We were so excited.

On April 14th, our baby’s heart stopped beating. That was the last time we would see it flicker. I cannot explain the way I felt going through hearing the news and weeks later having to get a D&C.

I’ve been doing anything and everything to distract me from the emptiness I now feel.

For now, we’re still healing. We may try in the future but I don’t know I could go through this again.

I had no signs of a miscarriage, so I thought everything was fine. Then one day it wasn’t.

We’ll love you forever 👼🏽❤️

I started Midas with $500 & a dream. I was in the midst of losing my home. I had been in default for months. Everything I had worked for was going to be gone, but I decided to believe in myself & invest my last $500 into lashes & glitter... then Midas was born. (Well actually it was called Cult Cosmetics but I changed the name).

This is me telling you to DO IT. Believe in yourself when no-one else does. When people laugh in your face & make fun of your dreams just turn around & keep it pushing. You’re destined to be GREAT. You just have to believe it at your core & followup with actions. This is your world with infinite possibilities. Remember that.

Late post but this was quite possibly the best birthday I’ve had. I spent it with my husband, son, & mom. We played board games & had a nice dinner. 💖
